those were primes? Didn't notice.... geth missions are easy mode for an infiltrator, or when you have Tali in your squad. (which you do, she is always in your squad on Rannoch). sabotage FTW. It works THROUGH shields. (which is lame. is sabotage works through shields, why can't widow one shot shielded enemies, like you could in ME2. For some reason the excess damage to shields doesn't carry over to health. so one shot to take the shields of, and one for health, not on the primes of course though)

Sabotage, huh? I actually never used it. I thought Energy Drain would be the better option. My problem was that exiting the elevator, the Prime in front could 3 hit kill you if you didn't get to cover in time and I, like an idiot, kept trying to immediately try and pick up the repeating blaster. Fool me four times...

Imported Adept. Shield drain as a bonus power. Took Garrus and Liara with me most of the time. Ended at about lvl 58. Last fight was only difficult when I got cornered by banshees.

Level 60 Vanguard on insanity is easy. The charge power recharges really quickly if you only take only a shotgun or pistol, and after a successful charge your shields are restored to 100%. I also took Liara and Garrus with me most of the time :)

Too easy compared to ME2 which had me pulling my hair out at points.

Squad: Liara + James

class: Soldier

Weapons: Prothean Particle Beam + Incendiary w/ Explosive damage

Piece of cake.

Playing NG+ now with Vanguard. Ridiculously easy in the first few stages then it got harder but still easier than ME2 NG+ insanity where a robot dog can kick my ass.

Do the enemies not scale like in ME2 or why do people think level 60 is especially easy? A Vanguard has all important powers at level 40 or so at the latest and should only get weaker after that by my estimate. I know when I finished a no reload insanity playthrough on ME2 I made damn sure to keep my level as low as possible and started at level 1 (granted I played a Vanguard which has a very early peak, level 6) and I imagine it's simplest done in the same manner here.

Literally just did it. I didn't find that hard, more annoying and time-consuming. Banshees were a bit of a bother, but it didn't really get hard till Kai Leng fight and then mission on earth where they just spam Banshees and Marauders at you.

And it's damn weird that grenades can take out all your shields and all you health but you can take at least 2 missiles in the face.

I'm about halfway through my second playthrough for my Insanity run and I'm finding it fairly easy, getting sidetracked by the Multiplayer though

I'm almost done with first play through. Playing it on insanity
Got two missions left. Its been too easy. I miss almost all enemies having shields/barriers/armor. ;)
I'm playing an Infiltrator.
I use Liara for areas where enemies have barriers/no barriers. Spaming singularity/warp.
I paired her with Garrus for the Overload/sniper early on.
Now I'm using Tali/Edi, for Geth areas, I can use Energy Drain as a bonus power to drain barriers, shields
Now the third slot is up for grabs. I use James for N7 missions involving Cerebus. Javik for story shenanigans. Actually I only used Vega for the required missions, until I got another character, and two N7 missions.
With an infiltrator, crowd control is a must. So Liara will almost always be in the party. Anyone else is filler. Someone with a SMG/AR is helpful but a shotgun is helpful for close quarters.

Someone else had that problem also. I honestly think Primes can see through the tactical cloak. I eventually stopped going for the heavy weapon and actually finished the battle.

I think ME2 on Veteran is harder than ME3 on insanity.

I did not aprove of the Brute scenes on tuchanka, and the final battle. altho i was infiltrator with cloak, i would still say it was fun, but it could be harder

Went through my first playthrough on Insanity with a Sentinel.

Let me tell you, it was hard mode for sure.

First off, I didn't grab AP ammo, part of this reasoning was I had read a thread basically stating it was useless so I never bothered to try.

Instead I grabbed Carnage.

I almost always ran around with Garrus and Liara.  Me and Garrus would overload and Liara would singularity then I would toss out a Warp for a botic explosion.

I spent the majority of the game hiding behind cover.

The final level was pure hell.

Mainly because I didn't realize after a certain amount of time the missles would become active so I was in more of a, kill everything mode, which was impossible with two Banshees and like 8 mauraders.

After about 2 hours I looked online and saw you didn't have to kill everything just hold out and I got it on the first try.

The only other part that gave me any trouble was with the targetting laser on Rannoch.

Overall, the game was difficult

Playthrough #2, I used an Infiltrator.

At that point the game was easy mode.  Infiltrator = OP

I enjoyed it, and much preferred it to ME2's version of insanity which pretty much boiled down to hiding and stripping defenses slowly. ME3 has much less shielded targets allowing you to play your class the way it's meant to be played. It's easier than ME2 but for all the right reasons. The 3x Geth Prime and the missile defense were the trouble spots for me.

Sabotage is the AI  Hack of Mass Effect 3, works through shields - one use and geth prime fights on your side. ))

Btw, on insanity, even your SMG is more effective than those heavy blasters. Never bothered with heavy weapons (except for the missile launcher that kills everything on the screen, and the Cain, that kills everything on screen, but that is just broken gameplay)

For the first 10 hours it was like the easiest game ever, then it was just really easy.

All it does is make enemies hit harder and you hit softer. I played my second character on Insanity and just needed to be a bit more careful during battle (and that was with an Engineer, starting lvl 30). Take a balanced crew in with you, as well: Garrus and Liara, Kaiden and Vega, Ashley and Javik, etc.

The only choke points I ever had were those that had multiple Rachni (those long-range shots of theirs hit like a semi trailer) in combination with mini-bosses like Banshees.

That god damned Reaper fight at the end of the Geth/Quarian conflict is a bi*** no matter what difficulty you play, however. >_> Time your dodge when the insta-kill laser comes at you required a lot of trial and error on my part.

Started with Lvl 47 Engineer and had very few problems. Seemed easy compared to previous titles. The only real problems that I had was the Geth mostly because of Rocket troopers and Hunters. I have trouble seeing Cloaked enemies.

Infiltrator on insanity is a cake walk. Especially if you picked drain shields as a bonus power. Everything just tends to die and if I should run out of ammo, it's actually viable to cloak up on your enemies and beat them to death. I don't know whether I've become more skilled with age, but I thought Infiltrator was challenging in ME2 on Insanity. Smaller battlefields and more swarming husks, maybe?

ME2 was way harder, but I'm liking ME3 Insanity more because I don't have to strip arbitrary defenses off of every. Single. Trash. Enemy. So very tedious, I'm glad they rethought defenses for ME3.

However, with my squad configuration and my Shep being level 60, I'm literally breezing through ME3 Insanity. As in Infiltrator with very few shield-boosting talents and zero shield/health boosting armor, I crumple like rice paper if I get hit by anything, but my squad mates (and me, I guess) usually annihilate everything before it can touch us.

My Squad:
Garrus (Overload spec'd for heavy shield damage instead of chain)
Javik (for double Pull control and armor/barrier-stripping Dark Channel)
Infiltrator Shep (Energy Drain as bonus power, squad Cryo ammo)

Both characters have Particle Beam X equipped with squad Cryo. This combo is ridiculously powerful, and destroys anything in their path.

Also, I play with Squad Power Use turned "off" so I can decide where squad powers go. Always have.
