Personally I would prefer a rewrite of everything after the part where Anderson dies and Shepard collapses . It will need a hell of a lot of explaining to make it satisfying to me.

Rewrite like this:

Brilliant flowchart of possible endings depending on ingame choices.

I'm not sure explaning will work for most people. i'm certainly not going to buy a shepardless DLC which could last for 5 minutes saying " here's what happened " i guess we'll find out in april what they have planned but as it stands for me a rewrite is preferable.

The sad thing I see in this thread is the majority (in this thread) prefer a full rewrite over an explanation of what comes next.

As much as I am proud by the Retakers, a rewrite isn't going to happen anywhere but in your own mind and fan fictions.

A rewrite to the ending would mean pulling every actor in the final set of scenes (starting with Cerberus Base at worse, Earth at best) doing new lines, filming (creating) new scene and changing every aspect of the endings.

This is something that even Hollywood can't put together after a release date. Heck, Bioware couldn't even afford to get the voice actors of Joker, Garrus and Tali back for Lair of the Shadow Broker. Or even get Joker back for Arrival.

As nice as a complete rewrite would be, it's not going to happen.

Rewrite. Everything past London needs to be either changed or improved on.

Re-write, but it won't happen for obvious reasons, the amount of time and effort it would take, not worth it to them. Unless it's already planned, it won't happen.

Gonna get an explanation and gonna have to deal with it, all there is to it.

Partial or full rewrite. At the very least give us the ability to say "no" to the starkid. Preferably just axe the whole thing from the beam run and make it more, to use someone's words, "video-gamey". Bittersweet is still good, but for the love of all things salarian don't nuke the relays.

Rewrite.

I don't care for an explanation, the logic flaws were only one of many problems I had with the ending. Lack of choice and variety are my big issues, as well as the dismal tone that leaves little room for hope or happiness.

Both. I'd like the current endings to be explained, but also the option of further 'happier' endings.

If I could decide, rewrite. But after learning about the "Dark Ages" intention, yeah, I don't know...

All I know is that I don't need no explanation, or conclusion, to the existing... ending.

Either option is just as likely tbh because frankly both options are bad for Bioware, they have to either A) admit that their original ending was so bad that it needs to be changed, or B) insist that the ending that exists with all its plot holes and falicies is the correct ending in which case many customers will completely write them off as a company due to their writing ability having gone completely down hill.

The fact of the mater is they shot themselves in the foot with this ending any way they try and spin it which is why all the PR is going on. They have to decide if they want to continue to be a business or stick to artistic vision they cant do both in this case.

If the explanation is Indoctrination theory, and they give us a bit more closure after it, then I'd be fine with an explanation.

Otherwise, rewrite please.

Neither, I don't need clarification on something obvious. I need something that makes sense and gives closure. Other than that, I don't think a rewrite would be smart and I don't think it will happen. That ship sailed. You can ask whatever you want, but either set your feet on the ground or be ready for some major surprise/disappointment. Only they know how they will address it, but I'm not sticking for round two if the offering isn't satisfying to a big part of the group. That's their fight.

Rewrite and this time give me a little more interaction and let me know what happens to my crew and the galaxy. Seriously I want separate endings, I didn't play 200+ hours of ME1,2,3 just for a debate and then different colored space magic.

I would prefer them to add more endings whie leaving the available one intact, so no rewrite,, but no matter what i would like closure, speculation didnt cut it for me.
