A better explanation on what really happens with the different endings and a better explanation on how the reapers came into existence.
Also fix plot holes for Normandy and how Liara ends with Joker when she was with me in the last battle
Would you prefer a re-write or an explanation?

I would definitely prefer a revised ending rather than having them attempt to explain the current ending to us like we're all children and their brilliance somehow managed to go over all of our heads. Whether they use the ever popular Indoctrination Theory as a basis and expand on that, revert to the ending I heard about having to do with Dark Energy (as foreshadowed in Mass Effect 2) or an entirely new concept altogether, I sincerely hope that they put more effort into taking into account our choices throughout the three games, the war assets acquired, and allow far more variety with the resulting endings. As of now, the current ending gives little reason to replay other than to try different routes to the same ending... IE Choose not to cure the genophage, let the Geth destroy the Quarians, etc. Which... completely contradicts everything that was talked about prior to release. We want to see our choices and war assets given form during the final conflict, especially those of us who went through all the effort to gather as many as possible! They should mean more than points on a chart

If you have to explain the ending, the ending didn't work.
That is....a very good point.

I'm perfectly fine with any author rewriting a chapter or even a whole book if it sucked.
Bioware can do MUCH better, and they deserve the chance to do so.

Of the two choices, rewrite. Space Magic will never seem right in the Mass Effect universe.

Explanation, but for christ sakes don't make it worse!
If BioWare tripped up with regards to certain bits of lore they 'didn't notice' first time, a rewrite would be infinitely better then ret-conning their way into a black hole.

Explanation, I think BioWare has the right to keep their vision, they just need to make sure it makes sense.

There are going to be consequences regardless of what they do now. If they explain, it wouldn't satisfy some, if they rewrite it makes them look like they caved in to the demands of the movement.
I really wondered what went on in their head when they released the game with this ending. Either they missed out on how inconsistent and full of plot holes the ending was or they were being rushed by EA to release the game as it is.

Not exactly a re-write. Just assume indoc theory to be true, have SHep wake up regardless of choice during the dream, and run with it. More like gluing in an extra page to the back cover of a book.

rewrite, no explanation could fix that ending. I'm insulted they think that's what we want.

I would prefer a rewrite, as I think clarification for the current endings need more than just clarification. It needs more foreshadowing and stuff so that the ending doesn't just lay a barrel of bricks on your head at the end.
That one of the things I hated about it. There is a ton of exposition they throw at you, and you don't even have the option to investigate, which in itself feels very out of place in a Mass Effect game.

Everything post-Space Battle above Earth needs a rewrite, except for the character to character interactions before starting the last push.
The bit where you get on the turret to shoot some husks at the London base was so damn laughable. Like oh..well, that was pointless.

Re-write... or a MASSIVELY expanded explanation of the current ending(s)... which would almost amount to a rewrite.

I would not turn my nose up at more divergence in the endings, but 99% of what I want is just to know what the heck just happened. So I will be satisfied with explanation and closure (provided said information makes at least a passing effort of making sense).

I don't need the ending to be explained to me. I got it. (except for the Normandy high-tailing it out of there with my squad-mates... although I don't think I want an explanation of that) What I want are more options and more ending variations, as well as more closure. I want to have the option to have a happy ending. Yeah I said it. I want a happy ending. Not without a price, never without a price.
However, I would gladly sacrifice half the fleet or half of earth's remaining population if it meant I could save the Mass Relays and marry Garrus and adopt ten Krogan babies.

Don't care if the current endings say, want the other endings we were promised. Don't know if that requires a re-write, I think of it more as...adding on?
