The Fate of Emily Wong

Scroll down to the posts starting March 5th, and work upwards. (Thrice blasted twitter wankery)
Emily Wong was the "Good" journalist in Mass Effect 1, whom Shephard could help with several reports on the Citadel, and who appeared somewhat prominently in the backround newsfeeds in ME2. Her death is, as far as I'm aware, not mentioned anywhere in ME3, which opted to surrogate Allers' character as a "non-punchable" media contact for Shephard.
Again, posting this because there are still people (fans of the series who recognize this backround character) who were not aware of her being written out via twitter.

I don't actually ****, personally. I can appreciate the site's utility, but find it's format is grating.
...and I can assure you I'm very far from alone in that opinion.

Are you &Y^)_*$@?!!ing KIDDING me? And I didn't even know that Emily was killed off to make room for that gawdawful Chobot until I saw it in that other thread that got locked. I remember thinking, damn she has an annoying voice and the emotional inflection of a kazoo, how did she get into this cast?
This keeps getting worse. I don't think anything good's going to happen in April. Trying to decide if I should just return it tomorrow while I still can, before I get suckered again.

Wong should of been the reporter embedded on the Normandy.
I cannot state how much i disliked chobots voice acting, fortunately bioware planned for this and gave us the option to send her packing, to which i did. Wong would of been a better choice as you said.

Wait, what? You're telling me that the reason all the prep I put into Citadel defenses being undone by one throwaway "The Reapers have moved the CItadel!" was something I needed to look for on TWITTER?

Wait, I missed this, too. What happened to the defence force???
This cross-platform promotion thing is getting ridiculous. What's next, a facebook status updates for commander Shepard???

its in my opinion one of the laziest forms of writing.
on top of this, how are people like me, who REFUSE to sign up for Facebook and Twitter, supposed to figure this stuff out?

Some escaped, most experienced bad things - The Twitter of one of the writers. I can't be bothered going back to Twitter but you can find it easy enough. It's still on his main feed.

Awesome. I know I'm staring at the screen now with the same look on my face I had two weeks ago when I "won" the game. No presence or visibility in the game. Just... twitter.Elyiia wrote...

For the love of all that's lovable, someone get the hipsters out of the design department.

This is just...wrong...
Most of my friends don't bother with twitter. I happened to catch the Emily Wong stuff but then that was by chance. Oh well, at least it wasn't someone important.

Probably not hipsters. Just Bioware paying homage to their pals over at Twitter.

Ah, I was wondering what happened with Kelly. She survived in ME2, but because there was no dinner she isn't in ME3. Interesting.
Also, having to learn things that should be in game via a website I don't use is ****ing stupid.

Would be cool if anyone could post the message about the CDF. Would interest me (and a lot others I think).

Though, it's not like voicing our opinion will change anything in terms of this game. Maybe, at least we can make it clear to Bioware that arbitrarily killing off a character outside of the game isn't something that we enjoy, or would like to see more of.

As it stands I havent even looked for the Allers romance scene on youtube.
She's nowhere near interesting enough for me to bother.

I'm not sure how to link to a single post, but if you ctrl+f spoiler you can find it.
That's not even the issue, it's characters being killed outside the game with no mention of it in the game.Im loving all the posts that
make people sound like an elderly man being told to get a computer
instead of a type writer
