First how do we know the people asking for their money back aren't plants? Or people that want to see the movement fail? Remember the shady stuff that went down with ACORN?
Now I'm not saying that is what is going on but we have no proof either way. It is something to question. The donate page is very clear and only an absolute moron wouldn't figure out it was a charity for sick kids and not to remake the ME 3 ending.
.
Well, not to start a fight but you are talking about the same people who threatened Bioware Employees, reported Bioware to the FTC, filed a complaint to the BBB, filed a lawsuit against Bioware. tried to have EA's phones flooded. Had people email EA, Edited Bioware Employee's wiki pages. Did bomb threat thread, attacked Jennifer Hepler, threatened the lives of the PR department, Told Pro enders to commit suicide. I mean I could go on and on.. Not saying everyone on your side is like this BUT people on your side are a big radical..
I'm not going to disagree with the tone of this. There are definatally some, no matter how small in number that have gone to great lengths and that have done nothing but hurt us in the long run.
The key for those in the retake movement should not be to try and reassign blame, and claim that there are false flags running about, the goal should be to rise up and do better. Do better and better things in spite of anything else that has gone wrong.
If there are people out there who tried to take back a hundred, you shouldn't call them on the taking back 100, you should donate 100 in their place.
We can not let all the negativity drag us all down, we've got to rise above it.

To be fair, I've had reactions like that from Pro-Enders as well telling me to go kill myself on a number of other forums/youtube,etc, etc.
The FTC complaint is not a big deal, usual consumer tool... what lawsuit? Unless that's the FTC complaint you're talking about you should learn what the FTC does.
I have no idea who Jennifer Hepler is lol
Lesson = bad people on both sides, let's stick the real issue here plx.
I know, that's why I said not everyone. I've seen some pro enders saying awful things as well.. but let's be honest the anti ending group has done more.. is that a fair assessment? I was simply saying, there is a greater chance it was an inside job than someone on the outside pretending to care, giving to charity, then demanding it back

How can possibly not know that this was meant for charity that was excatly the point, not giving money to Bioware to pay for an ending.
You people who are demanding money back should be ashamed of yourself, have you no sense of decensy or sense of honor ??
This does not reflect the retake movement and I hope people agree with me on this,
I also encourage people too donate anyway because it`s a good case.
i agree op. i already broke this situation to a few other sites
im speaking not as a mass effect fan or a gamer but as a human being
i think the people who decided this was such a good idea for there own selfish gain should be very ashamed
and apprently they didnt read the policy of childs play since they state and i quote
Child’s Play cannot be a tool to draw attention to a cause. Child’s Play must be the Cause.[/b]
seeing as selfishness blinded them heres the link

Amen. Even if BW never gives us what we want, I'd never ask for my money back. Just don't buy the kids ME3.

Penny Arcade said it happened, and they are the ones who founded CP, though that said, I haven't seen anyone anywhere who actually did demand their money back or anything like that, but any group that's grown tens of thousands strong will inevitably attract some stupid people as well, so I don't doubt it happened. But other than Penny Arcade's say-so (which I'm not doubting) we just don't really have any examples of it.Relwyn wrote...

This is a troll thread, isn't that painfully obvious? Perhaps by the same person that sends hatemail to charities, wouldn't surprise me just to stir things up and cast shadows and blame around. Nobody even new about this (though I highly doubt it is anything but fake) until the OP brought it up. So there you go, 100% troll thread to incite nerdrage.

shame on all those people asking for a refund. the charity stated very clearly that the fundraiser was an outlet for the disappointment and rage over the ending.
Reasons being if you can not be a hero in a game, you atleast can be one in real life!

The Op isn't a troll.
You're coming close to the definition though.
