Now the multi-pack is being released, and PS3 is getting ME1, it would be a nice gesture for the rest of us if this extra DLC were made available since PS3 has all this for free anyway. They could add it to a mini patch that resolved the EA server auto logon bug at the same time. I don't think I'm being unrealistic in my request as it shouldn't take much effort from BW to make happen. Should it?
Don't know if this promo ever even made it to Australia but I've never seen one.RebelTitan428 wrote...
if you ever come across a Dr. Pepper bottle with EA promotions they are obtainable.

i have not gone on the site since i obtained the ME2 gear.
Though i do know that anyone on PS3 looking to get this gear can do so by puchasing the Recon Operations Pack, which comes with the Recon Hood, Sentry Interface, Umbra Visor as well as the Collector Weapon and Armor for $1.99.
or by purchase the N7 Complete Aresenal Bundle which comes with the content mentioned above, as well as the weapon and appearance pack DLC's for ME2 for $7.99
these DLC's are not available to Xbox, only PS3

Now, if a mate gave me his installers for these items I could install them on my copy of ME2. No problem there. It all comes down to what happens next. Do these items need to register with your EA account like normal DLC does? Or are they more like little mods? I assume that if they need to be registered then you would see them listed under the 'Your registered game content' option on these forums, right?
So, does anyone who has these items see them so listed, or are they absent but just work anyway?
***PLEASE NOTE***
I am not trying to discuss ways of circumventing any form of copyright protection in this thread. I could already get these items if I wanted to do that, but I don't. I'm just seeing what EA's system is set to allow us to do. If it clamps down, it clamps down. Such is life.

(They are listed for both PC & Xbox, even if you only play on one platform)
As to wether they work without being registered, I can't answer that one, sorry. :/

So, BW, we've done all we can do to get these items short of the illicit. The ball is in your court now. What with the multi-pack release and PS3 getting ME1, will you sell us this pack for 80 BW points or something? Please let us get this material from you one way or another because as it stands anyone not on PS3 buying these games or the new multi-pack can't get them. They are reserved for the hackers alone, which seems a bad idea for BW/EA.

Anyway, they should release these promotional stuff as a DLC, even for price of 160 BW points and all promotional stuff. I mean check the ME3 stuffs. All promotional item become reachable for everyone. Argus and Raider in the Leviathan DLC and MP, AlienWare Indra sniper in the Firefight DLC.
But they also made simply buyable at the shops all previous promotional stuffs. Which made me very happy.
I more lkiely wait for an ultimate edition, which contains all three game, all DLCs, all promotional stuff, score in WAV format.

Seconded. This kind of thing is why people end up pirating stuff. I will not go down that road and would never suggest it to anyone else, but it's annoying as hell that people who are prepared to pirate stuff can get content that's inaccessible to those of us who want to buy our games and content the proper way.BongMong wrote...
If they show on your BW account, they will need to be registered. Oh well, worth an ask. Thanks for helping.

Pirate it. Really. You can't find them anywhere else
It won't work at all since it still asked for a legit version despite having the shared download version.

Sure the Recon Hood is included in ME3, as a drop, but the Recon Hood and most armor looks much better in ME2, which has better textures, better lighting effects, just compare the glows of lights in ME2 and ME3, check out the glowing eyes of the Recon Hood for example, much better in ME2.
Bioware should have at least included The Recon Hood for ME2 with the release of the Mass Effect Trilogy box set.
We can only hope that they will do this Dr. Pepper promotion one last time...Yeah, never going to happen.
So Bioware, release the Recon Hood and those other two helmets for Mass Effect 2 as DLC please, lots of people are still interested...Come on, you did it for PS3.

This is the problem with promotions and exclusive content. Once the promotion is over, the content is gone forever. Gamestop doesn't care about the Terminus Armor set, and Dr. Pepper sure doesn't care about the ME2 helmets. Its all just business, a way for EA to squeeze more money out of promotions and marketing. It has nothing to do with the players, its not done for the players or in the player's best interest. It is done for money, and when the promotion stops making money, everyone jumps ship and the players are left scratching their head wondering why content that should be in the game is locked away forever.
Sorry to all the people who missed out, I know it doesn't mean much, but those Dr. Pepper helmets do look pretty crappy in my opinion.

I think they´re ugly too, aside from the sentry interface. The strange thing is, I have something that looks very similar, if not identical, to garrus and miranda, but shepard can not unlock it for himself/herself.
It´s been over 2 years that the ME3 game was released. 4 years since ME2. I would expect the exclusive contract to have expired by now.
Instead of leaving the consumers scratching their heads, why don´t they simply release completionist versions, absolute versions, full content versions, integral versions or whatever they wanna call them, as long as letting clear that it´s the full experience the consumer can have?
Do these companies really think that someone would prefer one version over another because of an item or an exclusive texture? Injustice did this, with one texture exclusive to ps4. Batman Arkham Origins too, with the adam west fat batman skin. Why can´t we have one unified and complete experience? Many of us, used to pay for deluxed editions would be more than willing to pay for complete sets.

You guys know what really worries me? Should one day EA spread itself, close it´s doors and sell its franchises to different parties, and dragon age and mass effect end up in different hands, whenever they re-release the game, the dragon age inspired costume may not appear, should all parties involved not reach an agreement in order to secure the continual use.
This is true for any game with cameos, like soul calibur and mortal kombat. We may also be deprived of the amalur armor, should the rights for the franchise end up in hands other than EA´s. Same goes for the online Battlefield 3 inspired soldier.
