Yes. Not gonna go crazy and never buy a game from a company again because they messed up. Unless that company is Ubisoft just saying the name makes me sick.

After SWTOR and DA2, ME3 was supposed to save my opinion of Bioware. And it almost did, up until the end. They used to make great games. Bioware has been systematically butchering all their great titles. KOTOR 1 & 2 were amazing, then they crushed it by making it an MMO. DA:O was great, then they dumbed it down to oblivion. I suppose all thats left is Baldur's Gate 3, and after thats demolished they'll have nothing left to sell.

Not until I find out about the game.I haven't like the direction they have gone since Da2 and now with this.I won't preorder.I won't believe anything they say.I will just wait for sources who opinion I trust say something about the game.BW's creditability is zero with me.It is too bad I have enjoyed their games since BG 1.Oh well.

Well, the quality of the experience has gone downhill very fast. I had been considering this before ME3, but ME3 was the final nail in the coffin. Now, I will no longer preorder, I will wait and listen to user reviews and friend reviews, then will likely buy it used or wait for an adequate price drop before spending my money, the choice between used and price drop depending on how the user reviews came out. Bioware is no longer on my list of instant preorders or instant buys. They took themselves off of that list.

Sure will. I just won't pre-order anymore, and make sure to watch 'real' reviews before buying.

Probably something I should've been doing all along.

That is a healthy attitude.

Marketing hype + pre-orders + DLC + bootlicking "critics" are ruining games since the actualy game experience for the average customer has become a lower priority.

It really comes down to what game it is and on what platform. I have always enjoyed BioWare's way of delivering stories to the player and I am keeping my eyes on what's going on.

I will always support BioWare on Mass Effect titles and its DLC. In fact, most things connected to Mass Effect will just eat what's in my wallet. It is bigger than Star Wars for me (though I will never stop being a fan of the original trilogy).

I am very curious about Dragon Age 3 as well. I love the lore, and exploring the rich universe they have created around it. And then it does have some characters I am attached to as well. I doubt anything will surpass the story of the Warden in DA Origins though... I admit I got tired of the gameplay in DA2 quite fast, but I believe DA3 will surpass it by a longshot.

I am not interested in C&C. I'm not much into the RTS genre, and I won't be playing SWTOR because I am really tired of MMO gaming as well. Story or not, it's all about grinding and I'm not a fan of monthly fees either.

I base my purchasing mostly off whether or not I believe a premise for a game interests me... most of Bioware's games have done so for me since 1990 about... some less so than others.

For myself, ME3 was the most wonderful, emotional entertainment experience I've had in my 33 years of existence. It has it flaws for sure, but it doesn't significantly diminish the joy I found in the story of characters I grew to love and care for... it holds a special place in my heart among some of my favorite novels I've read that were also profoundly wonderful experiences.

The story and plot of ME1-3 are old and been done countless times... especially if you're an avid reader... but it's not the overarching story I will remember, it is the little details of comradery, friendship, love, hope, humor, fear and the small stories within that made it a special experience....

It wasn't the plot... or the gameplay... or how many dialogue choices I had .... it was how it all came together and wove and wonderful experience I can remember fondly for all my days.

That's just me though.... but with all that being said, it is no guarantee for me to buy their next game... not even their next Mass Effect game ..... all it is a guarantee for is that I will pay attention to what Bioware is doing... it's not a guarantee I will blindly buy all their games.

If anything is harming their chance at a sale to me of their next game, it's their business practice, not their game design.... forcing me to have to connect to EA servers to play single player.. and being booted out of SINGLE PLAYER the moment my DSL connection drops or EA servers crash (which they have numerous times) is a serious hurdle in me ever buying another EA (Bioware) game ever again..... UBisoft did this and I refused to buy any of their games.... I did not realize ME3 was going to need a constant internet connection to play it (that's with DLC installed.... I understand without DLC you dont need a constant net connection).

Depends on what it is, how promising it looks, etc.  For me, DA2 wasn't really that bad, just a bit repetitive at times. Barring the ending, ME3 was probably the best title they've ever made so far (but then again, I've only ever played the Mass Effect and Dragon age series), I thoroughly enjoyed it otherwise and it still deserves a 95/100 in my book.

Definitely want to see what DA3 is going to be like, if anything it's Bioware's opportunity to make a comeback, so I'm willing to give them a shot. Just as long as it's not an MMO.

Maybe, but no more pre-orders or day-one purchases, not if Bioware doesn't own up to their mistake and fix it. It will be all the proof I need to see that this isn't the same company I used to adore, the company that valued the story and its audience rather than the quick buck and intellectually lazy artistic integrity over professional integrity.

It is just possible their next game won't destroy everything of worth in the story in last ten minutes of the game, but if they cling to the belief that *this* was acceptable in the name of "art"? Then I will no longer trust their judgment.

Doubtful, I definately won't be pre-ordering or believing a word they say. I'll wait for independ reviews and use reviews, then maybe I'll purchase the game. As much as I hate the endings its actually the stream of lies that has lost my custom more than anything.

Absolutely.  I  haven't played a single BioWare game that I haven't loved.  While I haven't completed ME3 yet I absolutely love the rest of the game.

If Bioware want to alienate people they're not doing a good job of it. You people will all be back. You love Bioware too much to quit.

I'm not buying another BioWare game until Casey Hudson and Mac Walters has been fired from the company.

In other words, I will never, ever buy another BioWare game.

I did. I really, really did. I adored them so much, their loyalty to their audience and their pursuit of the story well told. I didn't care how outlandish a concept was, I knew with certainty that Bioware would find a way to turn it into narrative gold.

Then came DA2 and my faith faltered.

Then came this ending and my faith fractured.

Then came their response to it - and every last shred of faith I have left in them is being held in the balance.

I did not come here to see "art", I came to see the biggest badass in narrative history bring three games, five years, and an entire freaking galaxy together in one final glorious showdown. I came to see the best action movie in history, and ended up watching an indy flick. So, yeah, I'm a little angry about it.

My faith isn't dead. Not yet, but their bull-headed adherence to "art" over substance is pulling at the plug to its life support.

Depend on the whole ME3 ending thing. If they still think you should automatically lose without even being given a chance to affect that, then I won't buy any of their games anymore.

Of course. 5 minutes I wasn't satisfied with won't make me not by a game from them again. If that was the case I probably couldn't buy any games anymore.

I'll judge each game as it's own. If a ****ty company makes a game that I find interesting, I am going to buy it. Holding grudges is silly.
