Sure will. I just won't pre-order anymore, and make sure to watch 'real' reviews before buying.
Probably something I should've been doing all along.
That is a healthy attitude.
Marketing hype + pre-orders + DLC + bootlicking "critics" are ruining games since the actualy game experience for the average customer has become a lower priority.

I will always support BioWare on Mass Effect titles and its DLC. In fact, most things connected to Mass Effect will just eat what's in my wallet. It is bigger than Star Wars for me (though I will never stop being a fan of the original trilogy).
I am very curious about Dragon Age 3 as well. I love the lore, and exploring the rich universe they have created around it. And then it does have some characters I am attached to as well. I doubt anything will surpass the story of the Warden in DA Origins though... I admit I got tired of the gameplay in DA2 quite fast, but I believe DA3 will surpass it by a longshot.
I am not interested in C&C. I'm not much into the RTS genre, and I won't be playing SWTOR because I am really tired of MMO gaming as well. Story or not, it's all about grinding and I'm not a fan of monthly fees either.

For myself, ME3 was the most wonderful, emotional entertainment experience I've had in my 33 years of existence. It has it flaws for sure, but it doesn't significantly diminish the joy I found in the story of characters I grew to love and care for... it holds a special place in my heart among some of my favorite novels I've read that were also profoundly wonderful experiences.
The story and plot of ME1-3 are old and been done countless times... especially if you're an avid reader... but it's not the overarching story I will remember, it is the little details of comradery, friendship, love, hope, humor, fear and the small stories within that made it a special experience....
It wasn't the plot... or the gameplay... or how many dialogue choices I had .... it was how it all came together and wove and wonderful experience I can remember fondly for all my days.
That's just me though.... but with all that being said, it is no guarantee for me to buy their next game... not even their next Mass Effect game ..... all it is a guarantee for is that I will pay attention to what Bioware is doing... it's not a guarantee I will blindly buy all their games.
If anything is harming their chance at a sale to me of their next game, it's their business practice, not their game design.... forcing me to have to connect to EA servers to play single player.. and being booted out of SINGLE PLAYER the moment my DSL connection drops or EA servers crash (which they have numerous times) is a serious hurdle in me ever buying another EA (Bioware) game ever again..... UBisoft did this and I refused to buy any of their games.... I did not realize ME3 was going to need a constant internet connection to play it (that's with DLC installed.... I understand without DLC you dont need a constant net connection).

Definitely want to see what DA3 is going to be like, if anything it's Bioware's opportunity to make a comeback, so I'm willing to give them a shot. Just as long as it's not an MMO.

It is just possible their next game won't destroy everything of worth in the story in last ten minutes of the game, but if they cling to the belief that *this* was acceptable in the name of "art"? Then I will no longer trust their judgment.

If Bioware want to alienate people they're not doing a good job of it. You people will all be back. You love Bioware too much to quit.
I did. I really, really did. I adored them so much, their loyalty to their audience and their pursuit of the story well told. I didn't care how outlandish a concept was, I knew with certainty that Bioware would find a way to turn it into narrative gold.
Then came DA2 and my faith faltered.
Then came this ending and my faith fractured.
Then came their response to it - and every last shred of faith I have left in them is being held in the balance.
I did not come here to see "art", I came to see the biggest badass in narrative history bring three games, five years, and an entire freaking galaxy together in one final glorious showdown. I came to see the best action movie in history, and ended up watching an indy flick. So, yeah, I'm a little angry about it.
My faith isn't dead. Not yet, but their bull-headed adherence to "art" over substance is pulling at the plug to its life support.

I'll judge each game as it's own. If a ****ty company makes a game that I find interesting, I am going to buy it. Holding grudges is silly.
