Any way to make Allistair king and not have him super pissed about it?

Toughen him up after his personal quest. Tell him that the world is a cruel place and that everyone is out for themselves. He'll be more accepting of becoming king and doesn't need as much convincing. As a female it may also allow to stay with him as his mistress if he marries Anora.
