We’re all excited the DA will launch this Tuesday, but has everyone remembered to prepare their PC to install and run the game?

A list of thing you might want to do:

• Run Windows Update and install any important system updates. Also look through the optional hardware and software updates.
  
• Update your drivers. Video drivers can get updates on a monthly basis. Audio drivers not as often, but it’s still important to check.
  
• Update your spyware and virus scanners and run a complete scan now.
  
• Defragment your hard drive.
  
• Install the version of Direct X that comes with the game.
  
• Check your start-up programs and yank any unnecessary programs.
