I just purchased the PS3 version of mass effect 2 , do I need to do anything to activate the included DLC of "stolen memories" "overlord" "shadowbroker"
Or are they just there ready to use as the game proceeds ??

You download the cerberus pack from psn with the included code. Then they are available in game after you gain the normandy ship.

Yes, once you gain control of the Normandy, you will get a bunch of unread messages. You don't need to read them, but if you see them, it's a great way to know if the DLC content works.
