You've got a point. The last 15 minutes, from when you charge the conduit on, did seem very rushed to me right from the beginning, which is not BioWare's style. The only thing that keeps me wondering if it was the ending BioWare truly intended all along is the Illusive Man scene, which was very reminiscent of your confrontation with Saren at the end of ME1. Revealing the true nature of TIM and seeing his flaws was classic BioWare work. I sincerely hope that the Indoctrination Theory is right, and/or BioWare doesn't "provide clarity for players seeking more closure" by simply adding in a cutscene or two.
Did Bioware just run out of time?

I don't buy that Bioware has this "other ending" all made up but not in time for the launch date.
If they really did, then it would have been announced. There would have been a lot more dialog from them. Instead we get this stonewalling and senior staff members making press releases stating that they liked the conclusion to their game and are surprised by our reactions.
The Indoctrination theory is just that. A THEORY.
If it was Bioware's intention to release the real ending later and all of us fools fell for the "Two false endings that were control and Synthesis" then they're basically making us out to be f**king idiots for not seeing their great vision.
Everything until Bioware says otherwise is pure speculation, but if they turned around and told us that this was their plan all along, then I'd be furious.

Remember Wing Commander?
Loved Wing Commander IV.
Man that was a good game.
Me too, however, that was the last one that was done by Roberts. Wing Commander V: Prophecy was done by another team, and was done after Origin Systems had been pretty much assimilated by EA. And it failed miserably. Instead of EA saying "hey, maybe we screwed up", they blamed the movie, and quit making the franchise.

I hope you're right, but sadly it will never be confirmed or denied, at least not for a LONG time

The ran out if time theory is one I believed from the begining. Tali's gift of a unrendered human photo is the key proof I neeeded.
This is one that I don't think was rushed. When you hear them talk about it, I think they did what they wanted there. It was just a horrible decision. They said that they went around and around on what to do with the "reveal" and they couldn't come to an agreement so they kind of shelved it and came back later. Hudson wanted to reveal, but to also maintain some of the mystery and came up with the "memento" angle. Then they decided what she was going to look like and that went through revisions until everyone agreed on it.
From reading different things said and from seeing the video it just feels to me like they were under a ton of work and fell into the trap of "that's good enough" on something they thought wasn't super essential to the game. That's my opinion ... not saying for sure that's what happened.

I think it's not at all unlikely that the end of me3 was the result of something going wrong, or of the developers changing things at the last minute.
The reason I say that, is that the lazer beam hits, we have 4 voice actors, the character moves in only the most basic ways, no naration over the cgi cut scenes. Basically, it seems like an ending that was done with minimal time or recources.
I think either they had issues with time or for some reason they felt they couldn't use the planned ending and had to "re-shoot" it with minimal recources in terms of voice actors.Thats why the end makes so little sense I feel, its missing narration to talk us through the images we see on screen.
I could be wrong. But it would explain a lot for me. Why else does the wrting team that did so well with most of mass effect 3 get the end so wrong?
