or maybe humans look to quarian!

This picture is ok there are some that are better out there. Honestly I just don't see how they could have taken the photoshop and said "YAH that's it, that's tali! perfect job guys now lets get back to picking colors for our endings."

think Tali looks like Darth Vader in Star Wars when Luke took the mask off him, though, as female ofc. Would look horrible enough i think, to throw her off from Normandy in space :P

I think we should all accept the look that Bioware gave her, because it's them who conceived the race as a whole and created it to start with. I'll say I've seen some pieces of fan art that look very appealing here and there, but at this point I'll just be happy if Bioware gets us an ingame model of how quarians look, a lowres photo is a bit too little to cling to.

for me this one and the stock photo they used in game has same flaw, Tali would have hair. I think that if quarians have to wear helmet 24/7 and whole race have worn them for centuries, they would have evolved to be bald, since hair inside helmet extend period of time would be sweaty and unhygienic

I see this argument about all the time. 250 years are nothing in a species evolution, sir.

Humans from 2000 years ago look exactly the same as we do now.

It takes several thousands of years to see a noticeable change in a species evolution. Besides, these people surely take showers, change suits and have their own "indoor" life.

around 300 years, not thousands. that are 10 generations, not much.

Humans still have their hair after some thousands years, although we don't really need them anymore.

In game, Tali mentions that plants on Rannoch used large animals, including Quarians, to spread their seeds, like how some Earth plants do. For some reason, this made me think they'd be furry or something.

that lack of furrys in the mass effect universe has always bothered me.

Ok not furrys, but mammals. Furry creatures. Things with hair besides humans.

Same thought here. I felt like being the hairiest sentient creature in the galaxy :(

Now where did we put those Wookies... ah righ, Star Wars... yeah, too bad.

Quarians will always look very "alien" in my head, not Bioware's photoshopped image. It just screams lazy to me so yeah... I can't take it serious.

The OP's image still looks too human for my taste.

I like OP's picture better than the other that was posted here. The second looks far too much like a human.

In posting this I found a fan work that was more of a compromise than most.
Personally I ALSO was REALLY hopefull for something VERY alien.
Mainly because, grunt refers too quarians as not being squishy or soft.
If you look in the art of mass effect, the concepts ranged from very human to quite alien.
Given that bioware chose to make hre look entirely too human I saw this fanart and went, well christ if they were going to make her look so human WHY not something like this, it would have been better.
Whats more, is that this is actually a Zbrush render so I mean WTH.

Also, looking at the male love interests from 2 and just HOW ALIEN the bulk of them are (and they seem to go up in levels of 'out-there-ness') it would be fair for a love interest for the males to be a bit out there, too. Tali is the male Shep's Garrus. I really felt like she should have been Male sheps most alien option. Also, humans with longer necks, two fingered hands and that sort of leg configuration would look... kinda odd.

Because it is some nerdy Talimancer's twisted fantasy. I think they handled her face really well in ME3.

OP looks good.

Most of the others look like a human in a suit with mutated hands and legs. Stay away from the radiation.
