Am I the only one whose interest in MP is starting to decay rapidly?

It's all good and fun, but only up to the point when you realize how much you've played, how many gold matches have you finished, how good you are with your class... Only to realize that you're pretty sick repeating all the same tedious, not-fun-anymore crappy gameplay across 6 maps, against, duh, cerb-geth-reap.

And you can't even get a weapon you want, no matter how many credits you have.  Lololo-trololo at this idiotic system. I'm starting to think that it'll actually come to the point where I'll abandon the MP completely, with all the useless shotguns and SMGs maxed, without having not one single N7-rarity weapon of my choice. I have Disciple level VI, Geth Shotgun V, Anti-ThresherMaw shotgun level V, all silver SMGs pretty much VIII-X, hell even Claymore level IV. Widow is still level II, and a Black variant is just a high hope.

I play as a Salarian Infiltrator, and of course I prefer Sniper Rifles. If I had loved shotguns nearly as much as the game thinks I do, I would've played Vanguard or at least a Krogan class. But now, I just don't feel the game to be rewarding anymore. I finish Gold matches, one after one, spend credits and nothing happens. I get some **** I'll never use, so what's the point? Nothing evolves for me, and I'm in no power to change that. The spartanian variety of enemies and maps even makes things worse.

This topic is meant to point the devs towards their main flaws with this mode.

So, Bioware, either you give me a Normandy-styled shop where I can buy a Black Widow for 250k credits, or it's minus me from this EXTREMELY addictive mode. So addictive that I don't know why I even bother, at this point, launching Origin anymore. No more Goliath championships won't save you. Not for long.

May 12 Update
As of now, my interest in ME3 MP is totally gone. I've gotten the Valiant recently and the Black Widow... But even that didn't bring my interest back to life. I'm not sure anything less than new factions or game modes can bring it back now.

And as the days pass by, the numbers will increase. But the "kill X million <enemy type here>" weekend goals will always keep on succeeding... Even when the game will be abandoned completely. Just because it's marketing and nothing more. A way to make people purchase packs for Bioware Points.

Oh, ME3's MP doesn't have anything in the way of longevity. Which is kinda hilarious because it was probably tacked on because some guy at EA thought it would be a great way to keep people playing it longer.

I give my shotties pistols and smg's (ranging from x to 1) for just 1, ONE!, revenant already, i've mastered the gun in sp and would finally like to put these skills down in mp damned

I greatly dislike having to farm credits to unlock stuff, being restricted to the same stuff for so long. Only the luck of the draw can give me something different to try..

I'm willing to bet that both the SP and MP of ME3 will be played for years, just like ME1 and 2.
Difference being that seeing as this is the final game in the series, we are likely to see a lot more DLC than we did for ME2, thus further increasing it's lifespan.

Yeah it was fun at first but it's starting to get really boring now.
Main problem is that I feel absolutely useless if I use something other than sniper or pistol/biotic explosions. Also there aren't enough different enemy types, killing your 1000th Banshee gets really repetitive.

The thing that pisses me of is the naivity of those who figured out this system. Yes, the longevity may suck for casuals, but for a fan? Come on, give him a way to buy the stuff he actually wants, may as well go with a ridiculous 500k price, and the longevity will be drastically increased. It works like an achievement - you won't stop until you get them all, but it must and should be in the player's power to choose, what achievement to go for next.

So this whole thread boils down to "GIVE ME BLACK WIDOW OR I QUIT"?

The gameplay is fun enough. Groups with no mics bore me, but I'm still having fun with it when I'm with a group of people who are actually talking.

Something that the sp allowed, until the ending tho, getting all these tons of useless stuff reminds me what i found the greatest improvement of me2 to 1, even that it was annoying to not have remotely as much difference and choice (also i kept cheating me cerberus weapons in me1 after a while :D)

Yeap, basically. I see no point in continue playing if my chances of getting what I want are virtually next to zero.

For this I have other games. I don't have many friends who play ME, even less who play ME MP.

If it makes you feel any better, BW/W are getting nerfed next.

Hopefully pistols will get nerfed as well and a much needed boost to ARs.

It will hardly affect me. Widow is as weak as a Mantis when not being used under cloak. If they're gonna nerf it, but leave the cloak damage boost in place, they'll basically make the Widow absolutely worthless for non-infiltrators. Considering it's huge weight, it hardly needs any kind of nerfing.

Yeah, I wish they had a store where you could see all the items for sell and compare stats. They stand to make more money the way it is now tho so I doubt it will change any time soon.

It's a real shame ....

I think it's pretty natural for any human to be tired of something after excess. It's not supernatural.

I haven't lost interest, I suspect that even after I move on to other games, I'll still dabble in Mass Effect's multiplayer here and there. I enjoy it. I'm ready for some new DLC classes, though. Salarian Infiltrator, like yourself. I've got a Widow VI, and I'm wondering if when it's at X, I'll prefer it over my Black Widow. I love the extra shots, but dat damage. Heavy risk....

6 Maps, 3 different enemies, 1 type of game, 6 classes whith only two viable builds (caster and sniper). There's only so and so much enjoyment to be had in that, once gold is no problem anymore.

"Am I the only one who...?" is a pointless question to ask on the internet.

The answer is pretty much always no.

My biggest concern is less about the shop.

I'm more worried about growing tired of fighting the same 3 factions, and I know the current maps too well...

LET ME SHOOT SOMETHING ELSE!

Nope, love the MP.

Playing coop with friends is it's own reward.
