Several days ago I first ran afoul of this issue buying a spectre pack with credits. Each time it happens I am unable to continue buying packs, or join games until I restrt the program. I have tried each time; backing out of the store and in again which re-displays the error without me clicking anything inside the store after I open it; I have backed out of multiplayer and re-entered; and I have exited the game altogether. Since the first time, it happened again day before yesterday (Iws unable to post here for 24 hours) while buying spectre packs with BW points. Having just dropped cash on the points I decided to pursue it this time since before I let it go as a fluke as it was just credits. I did a live chat through Origin, it went as follows:

Anshul:Thanks for contacting EA Help! My name is Anshul how may I help you?
you:I was buying spectre packs in Mass Effect 3 and I got an error message saying there was an issue. I backed out of the store and back in and it gave the same message without even clicking to re buy. I backed out of multiplayer completely then re-entered the store no spectre pack so finally I left the game and re-entered and still no pack but it did take points. This happened once before when paying in credits also yesterday.Anshul:HiAnshul:I apologize for the inconvenience caused. I'll do my best to address your concern.

you:I spent 160 bioware points on a spectre pack and I got an error.
you:Now I'm down 160 points and no pack

1 minute later
Anshul:alright
Anshul:Please allow me some time to work on your issue.
you:Yesterday or day before the same thing happened paying 60,000 credits
you:ok

Anshul:Thank you for the patience
2 minutes go by
you:ok so what is going to happen
2 minutes later
Anshul: It looks fine on our side
you: So I buy BW points for cash spend them and get an error which says to contact you guys if it repeats. It does and I do and all you say is it looks fine?you: It's not even the first timeAnshul: http://social.bioware.comAnshul: Please tryyou: and a quick google search shows I'm not the only one it's happening toyou: lolAnshul: I am sorry but from our side it's all fine
THANK YOU FOR CONTACTING EA DISCONNECTION SCREEN
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Needless to say I was livid. It seemed as though she didn't even know what was going on, and potentially didn't even speak English well by the odd "
May I know what exactly you required to have? " question. After all that and I'm expected to swallow the loss with nothing more than, "looks fine to me..." I then continued buying packs with my points, luckily with no issue. Then, not an hour later I bought the new Special Vet Pack for 3k creds and, sure enough, it happens again. Doing everything I said aboce to no avail. All in all I am down two Spectre packs and a Special Vet Pack, no answers, and a very bad taste in my mouth from Origin customer service. Even if I am not going to get them please Bioware, at least give me some response that is befitting of a customer and show me that you still have pride in your work and your fans unlike your overlords at EA.

Also, as a vague afterthought, I was a tiny bit blown away when I got the demo to Amelur on the promise of custom armor only to find out in the fine print later that the offer had expired before I even bought the game! Not really important but I thought I'd get it off my chest too.

Yeah, this is bug is a bit of a pain. At best you might have actually received a single item or upgrade (just without the "New" label on it), but it's more than likely you got nothing. Have a thread with others experiencing the same issue here.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over the Amalur (Amular? whichever) offer though. It was frustrating as hell to dig up the demo in Origin's store (searching for it doesn't reveal it, I had to go through the "Free Games" link on the main page) and when I finally got the Chakram launcher and Todd McFarlane armor... I was massively underwhelmed. The former just shoots time-delayed sticky explosives that barely blow the paint off your target's armor, so you have to shoot a bunch of them to be of any thread (and by then one of your teammates would have finished them off) and the armor is melee-specialized and the design is subject to tastes.

Personally I was never really impressed by McFarlane's designs, so it was very meh for me.

Ya, it was more of an afterthought. As for the other issue I did notice the large thread to make them aware it was a broad issue but after my Origin customer service and being referred here as my official recourse for customer service I decided to make my own thread as, quite frankly, customers not getting things they paid for with cash is unacceptable anywhere else in the business world and a customer would be given individual attention for their problem and at a bare minimum would be given an explanation as to why they aren't going to get their purchase. Were it only with in game currency, I would settle on the loss as a bug but with real cash it becomes an issue. I hate to make the same, crappy, idle gamer threat but just like the real world if I don't get what I paid for I will not attempt to make future purchases. It makes me sad as Bioware has always made such great games.

Same thing happened to me when buying the Spectre Pack. Not only did it take away 60,000 credits. It also prevented me from buying other packs!
