What will happen if Bioware dosen't change the ending?

I'd actually prefer they'd just say that they'll keep the ending unaltered. I wish that the head of EA would call Walters and Hudson into his office and say: "You two are never going to say another word about your products ever again! You design, you write, leave the PR to professionals! You are not here to **** everything up with your loose lips, you're here to work"

Personally I couldn't be bothered playing the ME games again if the ending remains the same, I'd just leave it, crying about it at that point would probably do little if anything.
I would still hold the series in high regard, and remember the 100s of hours put in to it fondly though.
But I also think that, surely they must have planned to expand on the ending in some way all along.
And I would be really surprised if this wasn't the case, given the crazy awesome plot twist and story telling skill Bioware has shown time and again in the past.
There's your "bittersweet" ending! I will have a bittersweet memory of playing ME1 and truly being engrossed and entertained and lost in it. I will harbor the memory of ME2 and the fun I had with it, and then the sad, sad memory of what COULD have been with ME3 but wasn't.
Bittersweet.
Ta-da.

Hey, Dragon Age 2 wasn't that bad. It went "Good, decent, AWESOME, decent, decent, good, AWESOME, what, decent, AWESOME, good, sequel hook".
ME3 goes "AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME, good, good, AWESOME, AWESOME, good, decent, what, what, credit roll?!".
I believe this is the most accurate and succinct summary of ME3 I have ever seen - nicely done ;-)
Noelemahc should be doing game reviews at IGN. They clearly don't have it down.

People should also know they won't be able to return their game when the actual details of the ending are announced in April. Too much time will have passed.
People should grow the hell up. You paid for the game...you played the whole game...now you want a refund? Give me a break. The game's awesome, but with a less than stellar ending. There's not even close to enough justification to get a refund.
Amazon begs to differ.
Plus, there is NO WAY to know about the disaster that is the end until you actually get to, you know, THE END. It isn't at the beginning so you could fire it up an immediately yell, "What the F*CK?!" and send it back.
EA Games itself is offering to EXCHANGE the game for another title of your choice of the same value. That's what I did. I exchanged it for another game.
You don't like reality (that people can and do get refunds for dicked products) but too bad. Reality doesn't care about your opinion of reality.

I didn't play ME1+ME2+ME3 only to choose between 3 doors, see a short subpar illogical "epilogue", the end. I could see Bioware leaves it all a mystery so we get to imagine the rest ourselves, and that it's too hard to give multi-layer endings with lots of variables, but if that is how they want it then I don't want their games. Some say journey is what matters but this ending made going through the journey again pointless.

I can see at least one more ME game being made and if that sells poorly then the franchise will likely be shelved. If it is a success in gaining new users BW/EA will continue whether you hopped off the train or not.

Simple, I vote with my wallet. No more EA/Bioware games.
That's what I've done since that wreck of a game called Dragon Age 2 came out. No more buying EAWare games.

It's not like IGN is going to do any sort of follow up - it might hurt advertisement and roles in future games.
How the disfranchised fans will react and which effect that will have - well, I'm voting with my wallet.

I dont think they should change the ending but they should give us a more In depth look at what happened. We dont know what happened to everyone after the catalyst. Where are they at? What are they going to do now? Maybe we could look forward to finding out in Mass Effect 4? Who really knows? Never know the said this was a trilogy but for all we know they have always surprised us and Maybe there will be a 4th. Look at Halo, Bungie said after Halo 3 they were done and after 2 years Halo 4 was announced.
Bungie is not making Halo4.

IF and IF Bioware now dosen't deliver this "promise" of change. Remember Dr Ray just said clarify the ending NOT change, he also mentioned how he supports their ""artistic integrity"(regardless if its crap or not).
What will happen to these media sites and how will the public react if Bioware dosen't change the endings as most assume.
Then Mass Effect 3 might be my last Bioware game... Seriously, they can't think of something better? Both ME1 or ME2 ending alone are far more superior than whole of ME3 'awesomeness' put together.
This seriously felt like a huge let down as a conclusion of an entire Sci Fi Saga...

I would rather keep my principles and stand up against getting lied to, and played for a fool by a company than cave to their tactics and give them my business anyway. If they don't fix the ending that is basically all their PR will have amounted to, an attempt to distract consumers from their concerns while planning on doing nothing about it.

If BW keeps the whole Normandy crash they need to explain why he was in the relay system in the first place, why was he the only ship in there because if you're going to evac your going to jump a lot of ships at a time not one ship at a time. We also need to hear from the grandfather about the aliens on their world what happened to them? Because in some cases team dextro make it on board the ship did they just die out?
Then do epilogues that sum up 3 games worth of content of the galaxy, its stability, your crew, LI, and memorable npcs we want to know what happened to them all.
I would recommend though that BW just do the whole pick a color shep dies or wakes up and then epilogue that sum up 3 games worth of content of the galaxy, its stability, your crew, LI, and memorable npcs we want to know what happened to them all. No Normandy crash, no grandfather, and when you place the person back into the game if shep dies for real then let us pick one of our crewmen (player pics from the crew not BW so if I want spector Tali, Vega, Garrus I can play a either of them) to be the new spector and complete the game. If shep lives then start him in the Normandy's medbay or start him off getting dressed in a recovery room of the citadel hospital after several months and shep is able to walk out of there and get to the ship and complete the missions then. I find it very confusing I"m placed back just before we attack tim.
