Yet another example of the Retake movement troops being mobilised to manipulate an opinion poll.

I believe the term is "voting". Manipulating would be faking polls. You seem like you'd make a great politician.

Somebody said something about this DLC will change the current ending for those who don't want it changed.

I'm pretty sure DLC is optional. So no worries. You're good.

A majority of people polled dislike the ending or just want a new one, however we should not forget about those that played and enjoyed the game but just don't care enough to hop online and tell us about it. And it's not unreasonable to assume that a majority of the silent players either liked the ending or were apathetic towards it.

People are far more likely to get vocal if they're upset, that's just documented human behaviour.

I'm fairly certain you're right. Upset people are more likely to be vocal in my experience, and there are likely a lot of players who were ok with the ending. The question is, so what?

If a thousand people bought what was advertised as a strawberry shake, and it turned out to be blueberry, do X customers who hated it need to keep quiet because Y others didn't care and Z happen to like blueberry? I don't believe so.

Ha. Fecking 71%. 80 if we're counting the too bleak people.

Still a goddamned minority, huh?

Typical pro-ending lies. Why don't you go visit IGN or one of the other paid-for lapdogs?

Who says that i'm "pro-ending". I'm pro-Truth.

I can link to multiple threads on this forum highlighting polls on sites such as GameFAQ, asking people to "correct" what the movement sees as incorrect figures. Some Hold The Line drones even worked out that they could vote multiple times by clearing their caches.

You are a minority. You just use underhanded tactics to make yourselves seem larger than you really are. It's grown past pathetic.

So your argument is that our claims are unsubstantiated then you make the bold blaim we're the minority which is...unsubstantiated.

...Wow.

Whatever the outcome of the poll, they will still say that "vocal minority" voted.

8,000 votes and only 5% of voters say the ending is good as is.

Holy schnikes.... that's a soul-crushing poll for Bioware's "big thinkers".

It's not unsubstatiated. If polls are being manipulated, then that is underhanded and shouldn't happen.

Probably.

Truth be told; it is the minority no matter what.  I think there has been 900,000 games sold so far (if anybody knows PLEASE CORRECT ME).  So even if 50,000, hell 200,000 people vote, that's at best 22%.  We can point to websites average reviews or countless polls, but this will be the trumping percentage.  Note: I disagree with this, but on the flip side I would probably use it too.  I'm angry with myself.

They are using fuzzy math to cloud it, but it's obvious that with the news stories and Bioware releases that they know a good section of people are upset and they have reason to be upset.  This is why we have to hold the line with calm and rational explanations.  Who cares what they say as long as they listen and react?

Just vote your opinion and let the results speak.

So because something can be done, it will be done? So, Because a poll can be tampered with, it will be tampered with? Sounds like StarChild was right. Of course, using this logic, none of us exist because we all died during the Cold War.

Hahahahahahaha.

Two mistakes with this argument -

1. You have no way to prove or disprove that the movement is a majority or minority.

However, there is eveidence to suggest that the core fanbase, as in, the part that Bioware needs to keep loyalty with, is overwhelmingly in favor of ending DLC.

2. You're generalizing the movement, insulting people, and basically grasping at straws to try and prove a point.

Its hilarious. There are at least 50,000 people voicing their displeasure. That isn't anything to scoff at. Word of mouth is a powerful thing, and people are actively discouraging sales from taking place. EA WILL respond to this.
The journalists at IGN don't matter, the polls don't matter. It is going to affect their bottom line in a major way, and it can be easily remedied. EA know that. We'll see some sort of DLC by june, or news of one, that's a guarantee.

No. I've decided that the Retake movement doesn't have 50,000 unique members. Some people signed up multiple times under different names, explaining why such a small percentage contributed to the Childs Play donation drive.

Thats YOUR problem. You've decided. Who the heck are you? The movement accuracy guru. You don't decide. You have an opinion. It is NO better than anyone elses opinion.

You work at the embassy eh? Hmm, prob a politician. They always think their opinion is better than anyone elses too.

Look even if we're the minority (and I believe we are) we're the main market for DLC and merchandise.

If it is 900,000 games sold, and 50,000 or so in the retake movement, what that really means is that 850,000 people haven't finished the game yet. :D

As for myself I own 3 units of me3. one for me on pc and another on xbox. my recent purchase is one for another pc version of me3 which I have on hold for a birthday present for my boyfriend.

Freep the poll! You know that there are millions of other players playing the game right now who don't even know this poll exists, right?

Honestly, until Gallup or another accredited polling firm does a proper survey, none of these little internet polls matter at all.

You deserve the free DLC more than anybody!
