Speaking of politicians, this reminds me of what Margaret Thatcher once said.“Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren't.”

Voted as well.

I have seen some of us talk about units sold. Has anyone actually done a poll on how many of us own more than one game of me3? As for myself I own 3 units of me3. one for me on pc and another on xbox. my recent purchase is one for another pc version of me3 which I have on hold for a birthday present for my boyfriend.

Good God.
You deserve the free DLC more than anybody!

Thanks

The reason I had to buy so many was because my boyfriend only plays on pc and my bestfriend only xbox <_<

Thats YOUR problem. You've decided. Who the heck are you? The movement accuracy guru. You don't decide. You have an opinion. It is NO better than anyone elses opinion.

You work at the embassy eh? Hmm, prob a politician. They always think their opinion is better than anyone elses too.

I'm the proud owner of a genius-level intellect and an astonishingly advanced analytical mind. I've considered the evidence and arrived at the logical conclusion.

And i'm not a politician. Not yet, at least. I'm a translator.

His opinion isn't better, he's just smarter then us.

And just for good measure smarty pants, I would classify your argument here as an appeal to accomplishment, which is a type of red herring logical fallicy.

Some people here seem to be under the impression that you had to donate to the charity to be part of the movement. That is a fallacy. The charity can in no way be used to determine the number of retakers.

I'm not making any sort of argument. Some guy asked me who i am, so i answered. I wouldn't expect anyone to think that my opinion on Mass Effect 3 is more valid because i speak 12 different languages.

However... i am right in my analysis. The Retakers are a minority, and they are gaming the system.

How are you right? You have yet to provide reasonable evidence. It is possible for people to vote multiple times on polls, so pro-enders could easily be doing so as well.

Now i got to ask if The Retakers are a minority, how are they gaming the system. Shouldnt at least the opinions be almost equal in that case?

Done, I like that poll and the article. This is how media neutrality should be. It doesn't favor the fan, nor favor BioWare, it just tells you how things are, raw and simple.
Well done.

Contrary to popular belief, statistics are not just about numbers. It's important to know how to correctly interpret the figures, but also take into account societal factors -- which the Retakers don't seem to be able to do.

I question your ownership of that advanced and intelligent mind.

A minority would have never been this loud. If the CEO of BioWare has to come out and calm the fans, something is going wrong. Deluding yourself that the fans are a minority is the same as what other media try to imply. 50 thousand people aren't a minority, especially if you have in mind the word of mouth threat that it implies. And that's just the fans that actually loved Mass Effect, even casual gamers pop out to say what the **** did I just witnessed at the end of their games.

Speaking of analysis, does it also count people who own more than just one game of me3? after all analysis is parts of statistics.  From what I can see you might be looking at units sold vs people who had made themselfs know like any regular person who gets his hands on the numbers.    But if you want to actually give a right response you have to do the following.

1. Know your units sold
2. Do your homework!!
    - This includes the current number of actual customers (Remember people just like me own 3 copies and they are all under my name.  Others might buy one for themselfs and then buy one more to given them as gifts)

As "smart" person you should know this.  You can't tell people you are right because you are not until you show hard core data.

All of the polls are overwhemingly for change. However you adjust for selection bias there will still be over 50% for change, making people of that opinion the majority.

True but no "societal factors" are going to account for such a massive disparity, it's nigh on statistically impossible.

Also you do know that this is how goverments are voted for right? You wouldn't say a president or prime minister was voted in by a minority even though only 20%-40% of eligible voters actually voted. Would you assume that all those that didn't vote would vote against the said figure or that there is likely to be some similarity with those that did?

Nah speaking 12 languages is not an exemption xD I speak 3 languages and I work in the financial industry. I work with a lot of numbers and when you are being in an audit everything matters even customers who have bought your product.

Please, i'm not an amateur.

I'm looking at achievement / trophy figures, which gives a more accurate depiction of the number of people that have played and actually finished the game than sales figures.

Oh yeah I remember blacqout now, from this thread: http:/social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/9389089/1. He's strangely obsessed with that default Femshep contest and is some sort of pseudo-intellectual dilettante who wishes he was James Bond or something, iirc. I don't know, he's not worth violating the TOS over, so until a mod one day catches on to his shtick and cares enough to act, it's best just to regard him as a wacky and unintentionally funny internet character.

Yet another example of the Retake movement troops being mobilised to manipulate an opinion poll.

Voting and/or stating your oppinion isn't manipulation.
