+1

I second that. Let's stay civil.

Out of curiosity, Valentin - wouldn't this SS thing land you in a bit of a pickle for your job at the embassy, given how sensitive Russia is about it's history? I remember in the PRC there was a ruckus over some donkey meat butchers getting into trouble for dressing up as Japanese soldiers to promote their product. I can't imagine the storm that would brew over a government worker doing in the same position.

Doesn't seem like the smartest thing to go running about advertising around the internet, what.

That thread on Penny Arcade was posted before i landed this job... and i don't advertise it. You must have creepily googled me. I also use a pseudonym online, for obvious reasons.

Guys, let's just let blacqout trololol by himself. Fact is we have "genius level" IQ's on both sides of this thing. There are clearly a metric ***ton of people unhappy with the ending to the game, as evidenced by the fb and the polls and the Amazon ratings, and also the fact that Bioware is actually having to issue PR statements about the ending at all. We all know it; that's why we're here.

If this guy wants to wander around these threads making snide comments about how we're the "minority", he's welcome to his opinion. His single, solitary opinion. ;)  Insulting him or engaging him at all won't change that opinion. Don't feed the trolls.

I have to agree with you there >.>   I was talking to my boyfriend and he told me to stop feeding the troll xD

Your insistence that I use your real name instead of Ivan made me curious. Seems like you caused quite a stir on PA- fair number of them seem to doubt you're Russian at all

Also your blog says you're a kitchen designer. Whut? So you translate for the Ruskie embassy and design kitchens on the side?

Thats YOUR problem. You've decided. Who the heck are you? The movement accuracy guru. You don't decide. You have an opinion. It is NO better than anyone elses opinion.

You work at the embassy eh? Hmm, prob a politician. They always think their opinion is better than anyone elses too.

I'm the proud owner of a genius-level intellect and an astonishingly advanced analytical mind. I've considered the evidence and arrived at the logical conclusion.

And i'm not a politician. Not yet, at least. I'm a translator.

As i recall my solitary thread was locked after a moderator admitted jealousy over my $100,000 Mercedes. I was banned outright shortly after.

I neither know, nor care, what was said about me after the fact.

Diplomatic staff must undergo rigorous training in the fields of interpersonal communication. Even at a translator level, you are not to issue opinions on any topic, regardless of politics, economics, games, religion, or romance, in public as to leave behind a paper trail. Misrepresentation of your personal opinion may have a direct impact on work related.

I suspect you are lying about your work as a diplomatic accessory. That, or you have not the personal values needed to advance to anything beyond a translator, thus invalidating your comments about "Genius Level IQ".

Agreed.  I know it's tempting to take the bait, but when someone is deliberately trying to get a reaction out of you, the absolute worst thing to do is to respond.

Oh, and i used to be a kitchen and bathroom designer. I keep the "about me" because i like the double entendre. I've actually had several jobs since.

Yet another example of the Retake movement troops being mobilised to manipulate yet another opinion poll.

Typical pro-ending lies. Why don't you go visit IGN or one of the other paid-for lapdogs?

Who says that i'm "pro-ending". I'm pro-Truth.

I can link to multiple threads on this forum highlighting polls on sites such as GameFAQ, asking people to "correct" what the movement sees as incorrect figures. Some Hold The Line drones even worked out that they could vote multiple times by clearing their caches.

You are a minority. You just use underhanded tactics to make yourselves seem larger than you really are. It's grown past pathetic.

Let BioWare decide if they want to keep this market base or not. If you are so concern for BioWare state you like the product, and stop trying to attack consumers who don’t like the product. As long as the consumer is giving BioWare feedback, BioWare is ahead. When the consumers stop giving feedback and just stop buying product, BioWare loses market share. The bottom line is hard cash. This is just not your call or concern. BioWare has other techniques to decide such as new sells coming in versus what they already sold. Some of these customers are their future or not DLC sales.
Therefore stop the venom and let everyone decide for themselves.

Haha, I love these results compared to the GameFAQs poll where it was actually a draw for the longest time.

Shows how a minor difference in wording changes everything.

If you're going to not respond to me, that's fine (it's not like i feel compelled to respond to many of you - even when talking directly to me) but would you mind not talking about me as though i'm not here.

It's petty, vindictive and borders on bullying behaviour. I've remained more pleasant than most, and your childish name calling is not becoming.

And... yeah. When you write dissenting views off as being fabricated to mildly annoy a web community, it's not hard to see yourself as the majority.

blacqout has very strong opinions and is attempting to influence others over to them, but I wouldn't call him a troll. If anything, ignoring him will mean he's won because you are no longer debating his opinions.

Im not sure what the obsession is with having a Genius Level IQ. There is only 2 real decent part about it is the ability to pick up and understand things at a far faster rate than the norm, and being awarded the McArthur Genius Grant Just because someone has is a "Genius" doesnt mean they wil automatically be able to out-argue someone specialized or with more prior study. Meanwhile if you ever attend a MENSA meeting you will find that most of the members have an a terrible EQ, that and all regular physiological screenings.

edit expanded upon opening point.

I didn't insult anybody. I just pointed out what was happening, and why the various polls do not offer an accurate representation of the thoughts of the totaly Mass Effect fanbase.

Not once have i lowered myself to the level of my detractors.

Retake Mass Effect 3.

In the words of Pitne For, they’re a scummy bunch… even by whiny gamer standards.

After the people at Penny Arcade wished to distance themselves from the Retake movement, many members actually demanded the money they donated to Childs Play, a kids charity, back.

This in itself is disgusting, but the unfortunate truth is that it’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Having spent some time on the BioWare forums, i’ve noticed that many threads pop up linking to opinion polls on various other websites. These are attempts to rally the troops to manipulate the results of public
surveys.

Sickeningly, some members often point out that by clearing your cache you can vote unlimited times, or other underhanded means with which to give the illusion that more people are unhappy with the way the game
ended than is actually the case.

It is also curious that although the Retake movement claims to have over 50,000 members, only a fraction actually donated to the Childs Play charity. We know that they lie and cheat when it comes to online polls, so it’s quite apparent that they also use similarly nefarious means to bolster their numbers.

The point is that the Retake movement is fraught with fraudsters and pond life
, and cannot be trusted.
Also, i’ve read some of the Mass Effect fanfiction, and the thought of the most rabid fans having any control over the direction of the  story frightens me..

You did accuse the Retake mass effect movement of creating multiple logins to artificially inflate their numbers, based on little or no evidence.

Thats pretty insulting
