1. How come this is day one DLC?
2. Aw well, I'll play as-is and then buy the DLC after playing my game vanilla.
3. After seeing the ending: Ohhhh that's why it was day one DLC....cuz after seeing this I wouldn't give them more money.

It's not a jamaican accent. It's african.

Also I thought "Liara is going to be sorely disappointed with this one."

I for one thought it fit great. He sounded wise and exotic.

Dead on. That sounded west african to me. Which is good, because it's a beautiful voice.

I personally have no problem with Javik, I had the same general feeling about his character that Liara did though.
A powerful and mysterious race and then they turned out to be Romans but even crueler.

Then again, after the Zaeed threads last game, its clear a lot of us can't tell the difference between an Australian and a British accent so...

Yep, this. I never thought he sounded Jamaican. Nigerian, yes. Caribbean, hell no.
As for what I thought about Javik. Actually I liked him a lot. He made me think that all Prothians were a**holes, but he brought a lot of clarity and emotion to the missions. He had a lot of deep expression to his face that was lacking in a lot of the other characters, which is a shame for them.
I would have liked Djimon Hounsou en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Djimon_Hounsou for the role though.

You guys seriously can't talk about the character without resorting to stereotyping?

^^ This.
I like Javik.
He seems to think his job is to troll the **** out of the other characters.

Well, the room was kinda foggy looking. And he rapped with Shep about some really heavy sh*t.

Definitely African accent, I feel bad for not being able to differentiate it more though. Just shocked people thought it was Jamaican.
