Dead on. That sounded west african to me. Which is good, because it's a beautiful voice.

I thought it was perfect. It gives him a more tribal or ancient feel (not in a racist way). And it makes him even more cooler because of it.

First thing I did after javik finished his first sentence : "One love Shepard" xD It reminds me of Jacob from GTA IV. And I think it's the same voice actor so this means Jamaican accent. I like it.

I took Ashley to Thessia and then suddenly realized I should bring Javik so I went back to an earlier save. Him telling Liara her gods were really Protheans was classic...Also when you fight Kai he shouts IF YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE I KILL IT WOULD BE WORTH IT something like that anyway.

At first I was surprised with the acccent, and then I thought it sounded very familiar, before long I was reminded why that was - my colleague is Nigerian and speaks with precisely that accent, with just as deep a voice...haha xD

I've always wanted some powerful content about the last days of the Protheans because I thought they were sympathetic as hell. I figured they would make a spin-off or prequel about it, but instead it was included in the CE so I was glad.

Javik was awesome. All of the conversations with him was worth it. And I loved Liara's reaction when she found out the protheans weren't the democratic and benevolent race she fantasized them to be, when in fact they were really imperialistic and cold.

I thought at first Bioware lost their minds and added the worst aspects of Jar-Jar Binks (the racist stuff, not the annoying/funny stuff), especially since the few pieces of Prothean dialogue they had up until this point didn't sound anything like him. However, once you talk to Javik outside of the opening mission he's character really takes off and the voice actor sounds like he really got settled into the character better.

And he's not jamaican, he's nigerian. I can see how us americans can confuse the accents, but I immediatley thought west african because I had coworkers who were both jamaican and african and I could distinguish between the accents. Kinda like the difference between Scottish and Irish.

He is great, but I feel so sad for him when opening that pod knowing that he is the last of his race. How he stumbles out of it and is so disoriented. When you mention the Protheans who delayed the reapers on the Citadel he sounds so hopeful, "more of my people survived?". Always feel sad for telling him no at that point. But... on the other hand, I don't know if I really want a large population of Protheans around. They really don't seem to like to share control.

I really liked his voice... but my first impression was something like "whoa, awesome " so it seems I'm in the minority, hehe.

It does make me a bit sad that so many people think he sounds Jamaican.

Since i have always played as a fully paragon Shepard alot of what Javik said didnt sit well with me but after awhile i warmed to him as he had plenty of experience in situations that made him the person/protheian that he is

At first I wasn't too sure about him, it seemed he was going to grate on my nerves like Zaeed did, but he grew on me, especially after learning more about him and his experiences. Now I think he's awesome, if a touch extreme in his thinking. No speech writing for Javik.

Definitely an African accent, though I'm not great at pinpointing the specific country region.
