adding Epilogue Text to current ending: would you really be "satisfied"?

If they are really THAT lazy, I could also write my own **** that would satisfy me. I wouldn't need BioWare's amateur writers for that.

Actually ,lack of epilogue is not the only problem with the ending. But lack of epilogue is still a problem.

No i wouldn't be happy, a written epilogue is great for dragon age as we've seen it before via Origins and Awakening, mass effect has never used one and i dont see the need to use one now.
But to be fair, this is the END of the trilogy, so some after-text could do the trick. Still...
Personally I'd say that just adding epilogue text alone wouldn't do the trick. But I feel that they'd help, Polls so far indicate that people want to see an epilouge where the effects of our choices are shown/explained...

Honestly if it's between having just epilogue text --something from every other Bioware title that I sorely missed in this game-- and having a crowd-sourced ending where the 'fans' get exactly what they want with no negative consequences for Shepard or his crew, then yeah, I'll take the epilogue.
Um, a lot of people are asking for multiple endings...sort of like how we were promised "wildly different" endings. I personally would like to see the whole spectrum, from tragic to unicorns.
No, simply adding epilogue text, or a few extra lines of dialogue, will not do the trick for me.

I want the choices I've made throughout three games matter in the big last battle that has been anticipated and build up for three games. I'd love to see something to the extent of the Suicide Mission, but as the OP said, on a much larger scale.
At least I want to see how my choices play out in the final battle and I want my chances for a relatively good ending be dependent on how I played the game and how I prepared for the Reapers. I want the great range of endings they promised us, and after all has been said and done, I want some closure. Show us what happened to the races, to the galactic community, to Earth, to the characters I've grown to love. Through cutsences, through a little interactive epilogue.
But to simply add an epilogue to the current endings would be pretty much the worst thing they could do and would completely miss the point of the "Retake ME"-movement.

I want a boss fight with Harbinger, with dialog
Lengthy cutscenes of the rachni and other ships we assembled turning the tide of the battle, while Shep and co. fight Harbinger
Something explaining TIM...maybe a sub-boss(possibly mirroring Saren/Sovereign fight in ME1)
Cutscenes showing the squadmates, species and homeworlds that survived...as well as those that didn't
A ceremony with the Council, awarding war medals to Shepard(if he's alive) and Squadmates(sorta like in the ending of Star Wars: episode IV)
If Shepard lives, have a scene with his love interest
(scene should be specific to your love interest....for example: if Liara was your L.i., be subtle about it, but show her "with child" having a baby bump...even if Shep dies, this would be powerful) or they can just go all out I guess, and throw a blue baby in the mix
If Shep dies, show a ceremony in honor of his sacrifice with all of his surviving squadmates and members of the species he united, in attendance to celebrate his life
All of the above is just wishful thinking and really doesn't answer he exact question this thread poses.....but nonetheless it does pertain to it
...not getting my hopes up for any of this...but its nice to dream about....
what's sad is, its what I actually expected from the fine people at Bioware that care so much about their fans...its what I expected from ME3 before it ever came out

Regardless of whether or not you're satisfied with the ending --I wasn't particularly satisfied with it, but I'm also not thowing a tantrum about the whole matter either-- I think that if the developers envisioned a high stakes ending where there's a price to pay for galactic peace, that's one aspect of the ending they shouldn't muck with.
Right now I'm worried that the ending we're going to get is going to be so sterile that even the people who claim to want a 'happy ending' will be disappointed with the result. Sometimes authors need to do things to characters that the fans themselves don't have the heart to do.

I friggin' hate the star child plot device.
