Not purchasing the Digital Download it seems i am still getting the dlc content with the boxed version of the collectors edition, forgive me if this has been made clear already but i do not have the time to read through everyones post on the matter. I have pre-ordered from GAME.co.uk and they wrote this:

I'm not sure what your saying, The CE gets Stone Prisoner and that was always the case, it doesn't get Warden's Keep.

Syeron wrote...

I thought the price £39.99 was slighty high given the EA store DDE can be got for £29.99 ( with voucher).
This does include the Wardens Keep etc but, not the 3 pieces of exclusive in-game content - Bergens Honour, Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes and Final Reason.

It remains to be seen what is the best deal !

The DDE is £40 everywhere (before vouchers)

I'm not sure what remains to be seen, the best deal is either a boxed copy at £25 or the EA Store DDE + voucher which is £30, depending on the price of Warden's Keep and whether you want it.

 The comparison was between the Games.co.uk CE version  ( @ £39.99 ) & the EA Store DDE ( @ £39.99  but, £29.99 with voucher ).

The EA store has the Warden's Keep includeed so, for £29.99 which, I think it's a good deal against the Game .co.uk which has the items instead of the Wardens Keep.

ok I'm confused, I was under the impression that when you pre-ordered this game you get wardens quest and the aromor but game stop just told me no, and also that they are not allowing pre-orders of the CE so if anyone can help let me no whats going on I would appreciate it...

You don't get Warden's Keep with CE, but I was also under the impression that the CE can indeed be pre-ordered, as is implied on the dragon age website. I was also told at Gamestop that they are not allowing pre-orders of the CE. I admit I am more than a little bit confused and I would like to know about the bonuses for a non-pre-ordered CE.

I would really like to know whether the Blood Dragon Armour is available straight away, or there are some requirements to get it. Would break the immersion if you're a poor city elf with this set of armour tucked away in his shack.

Also, does the boxed game come with a paper manual or not? Haven't seen mention of it, but I hope so...

It is likely that the "Rings" offered for pre-order will be withdraw after release, otherwise the packs will be the same

The manual is not in the box according to other posts. It will probably be very basic & a PDF on the disc.

The other items are apparently properly integrated, so I don't see why the Blood Dragon Armour wouldn't be.

The CE can be pre-ordered, if your local game shop isn't allowing pre-orders then you could always buy from someone else.

I thought the boxed version did get a paper manual, Do you have a source saying it doesn't?

I just checked my local game shops here in Belgium and none of them mention the DLC in the normal versions, only in the CE PC version of the game, is this true?

How come the UK customers are getting a different special edition when the Bioware site states exactly what the collectors edition comes with?

What I don't get is that they allow pre-orders, just not pre-orders of the CE.

The way I see it, essentially, you're paying $15 for Warden's Keep instead of the $7 they sell it for on the website by getting the downloadable version. I personally don't understand why the downloadable version isn't cheaper than it is to begin with seeing as you're not actually buying a physical object, hence, the company saves money by you downloading it instead of buying the physical game. But that logic has long gone over EA's head for years now.

None the less, I think I'll just buy the physical CE version from EA's shop and pay the $7 for the Warden's thing than to pay $15 for it with the digital download. :\\

Pardon me if this has beeen answered elsewhere, but how exactly is the purchase of DLC going to be handled for the PC?

It is a bit disappointing to me that the physical copy of the CE doesn't come with all the content, but not enough for me to pass up on Warden's Keep on launch day. Looking pretty cool.

The only version that comes with Watcher's Keep included in the asking price is the Digital Deluxe Edition, which also comes with the three collectors edition items, soundtracks and wallpapers (which is what the other 8USD is for).

Because dragonage.bioware.com is obviously just for US buyers.

EDIT: Fixed board breaking link that would have be fixed automatically on the old forums.

Hi guys, iv just joined up

Ok, a few questions, as im confused to hell about which dragon age to purchase

First off,(as reading here, this seems to make a difference) im from the uk.

As i said, im confused as to which DA to purchase, there regular, collectors, and also digital edition. Also, steam has this for the digital edition http://store.steampo...om/app/901081/. (wicked oath and memory band). Also, steam doesnt mention bergens honour final reason, or grimoire either

And, iv heard that warden keep is gonna be $7 to purchase ? Is that for non uk customers only ?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated in advance :)

Because the official link for the UK is http://eu.dragonage.com/buy
The UK CE and DDE contain exactly what is stated there (though pre-order bonus items may differ if you order it from another retailer).

There are several (large) threads on the old forum discussing the how and why of this, so for more info, I advise you search there.

You're actually in the wrong thread, as this doesn't have a lot to do with the DLC addons, but I'll be nice for once:

Yes, it does matter that you're from the UK (see my previous post right before this one).
Which version you should get depends entirely on how much money you want to spend, and exactly what you want. If you want the CE bonus items and the bonus DVD (soundtrack, making of, wallpapers, etc), then you'll need the Collector's Edition. To be honest, compared to the pricing in the rest of Western Europe (even considering the lack of cloth map and the plastic box), the GAME CE is actually a bargain.
If that's not your thing and you can happily do without those, then the Standard edition will be enough.
And if you absolutely want the CE with cloth map and the tin box, then you'll need to order the CE from abroad (USA or European mainland), though that will definitely be more expensive.

If you don't care for physical boxes and paper manuals and prefer a digital version, then you can choose the standard digital version, or the digital deluxe edition. DDE already includes Warden's Keep (though the UK version doesn't have the 3 CE bonus items) and the soundtrack files, and some extra stuff like wallpapers.
It's entirely up to you.

Now back on topic:
Yes, Warden's Keep will be available for purchase right from day one (see page 1 of this here thread), so just buying the standard edition and purchasing Warden's Keep online, will work just as well.
Pricing for UK may differ, though... $7 is the US price, and I have seen some European sites mention a price of EUR 7 for Warden's Keep. I assume UK price won't be GBP 7, so it will probably be somewhere in between $7 and €7.

Cheiron - thanks my friend, you've cleared up some things. I DID want the nice shiny tin box and cloth, but us uk buyers are gonna get shafted for that one then. Im still confused as to the steam digital deluxe, as steam exclusive item on that is "the wicked Oath", but doesnt mention ( On the link you supplied for uk users) "Band of fire"

Think im gonna have to have another think on this one again :)

Here is a question. I already uploaded my created character to get lucky ring dlc. I made two characters, will I be able to use the ring with both characters? I made my mage first and since the game comes with that awesome dragon armor, I made a warrior to use that with. I also got the other dlc items from dragonage journeys. Will they be able to be used by more than one character you made?

The Band of Fire is the EA Store exclusive, Steam gets the Wicked Oath instead.

I'd go for the normal version, the CE/DDE at £40 are rip-off prices considering the normal version is £25/30 (depending on whether you can put up with the boxed version's disk check) and Warden's Keep is likely to be a fiver.

There is a voucher for EA Store knocking 25% off the price bringing the DDE down to £30 which is probably the best deal if you don't want the boxed version or suspect Warden's Keep is going to be more than a fiver. You may have to put up with the EA Store requiring you to log into the downloader to authenticate when you try to place if you haven't authenticated for two weeks - I'm waiting for a reply about whether that's going to be running alongside the DRM and trying to decide whether I want to put up with it or pay the cost of Warden's Keep to buy it from GamersGate.

All bonus items can be found in-game for each new character you create/play. Some are available at the start (in your inventory), some have to be obtained from some NPC lateron in the game.

The codes need to be entered into your Bioware/EA account, which will then make the item available for download. Don't know exactly how that will work for Xbox (if the Bioware account somehow needs to be linked to your Xbox live account), but yes, the download should go through Xbox live.

I've ordered the DDE from EA store with a discount voucher & got it for £29.99 (UK) as the SE is £26 from Amazon & although I don't get the box (which I prefer ) I'm happy.

The pre-loads don't start here in the UK until Nov 2nd
