the longer the game has been out, and the more obvious the indoctrination theory gets, the more embarrassing it is to see people try and argue against it.

Truthers and Birthers agree, the long a conspiracy theory exists, the more true it must be! :innocent:

i mean, space magic does make sense and all, if you try not to think about it too hard

I never tried to think to hard about Biotocs, Mass Effect fields and the other magical technology in ME. It's a game.

This is crazy. Shepard is outside the Citadel, breathing normally and walking around without boots, and he doesn't even need a coat! The only real explanation is some kind of field, or it isn't real.

Shepard has gravity, heat, atmospheric pressure, air, and protection from space. Whatever is providing the air and heat is also protecting him from micrometeorites and solar radiation. So, a field, or ID Theory, one of the two.

And yes people, the Citadel is destroyed. Are we really arguing whether the Citadel was destroyed? It's a mass relay. The mass relays were destroyed.

Oh here we go with the "It's a gaem it doesn't matter!"

The last white knight resort, because a white knight can never concede that BioWare ever goofed.
Mass Effect's fantastical elements all had plausable explanations that worked within it's universe. The ending has space magic that works only on Azeroth. It's not the same thing and you know it.

Not that you'll ever admit it though, for a white knight must stand strong in the face of facts.

I actually did chose synthesis and it seemed like the right answer at the time still does if you don't believe in the indoctrination theory. Which I do not and I saw no proof that synthesis was indeed the wrong decision. But hey as we all know indoctrinated people can see events that are occuring on other planets light years away. Not to mention the future where a grandfather and son are talking. Hey who wouldn't want to believe in a theory that gives you the power to see all that is and will be.

But yeah my thoughts on why synthesis was the best choice makes NO sense. Was a dream a dream about space magic! ALL HAIL THE MAGIC DREAM!

Shepard was INSIDE THE CRUCIBLE'S CENTRAL CHAMBER. So... Maybe it was sturdy enough to protect the central chamber until the rest of the station is destroyed, and which point it falls apart? It would make sense, since the central chamber is so important it can put the whole galaxy in a rave with colored lights

It isn't actually destroyed in Control though, granted he is by lightning.

It's funny because on the first game shepard needs the helmet to climb the citadel tower, but when the reaper severed leg (or whatever it is) breaks the window everyone is breathing normally without helmet :)
anderson, shepard, your squad mates... and even a few alliance technicians

Selective suspension of disbelief is selective. Mass relays are space magic. I am supposing you are not indignant about them.

Game "facts" don't matter to the indoctrination crowd.

Why am I alive in only one of the endings, and what is it's purpose?

Ending colors be damned, this must be answered!

Not to mention the place is sealed off beyond that shep has a feature where he doesn't need to inhale instead his artificial lungs will just recirculate the air for....oh wait...wrong game.

Did you not notice Shep being disintegrated/absorbed in the others?

Another puzzling thing is that,

In the cutscene whereby we see the crucible docking the citadel, we can clearly see how they are positioned in relation to earth. So how come we can see earth from the platform in the catalyst child scene?

This scene has got to be not real, call it a dream, nightmare, hallucination or what have you. Otherwise it's a terrible oversight.

Perhaps where people think the scene took place is not where the scene took place?

They are in a breathable atmosphere, nobody knows how or why but the fact there is gravity in that area should give you a hint Shep and Anderson are not in space.

Stop saying they are in space. If you want an answer than just belive the Protheans added that part to the design of the crucible because it would be pretty darn inconvenient to use the crucible while in a space suit and floating around.

I hope Bioware put in the shimmer of a barrier in later so people stop saying they are in space, laaaaaawwwwwdddd!

[To clarify: I am talking about the part before the activation of the Crucible not the Shep breathing scene after]

What?!  Don't be silly.  It's a huuuuuuge stretch to say that the Protheans or whoever else might have made that area breathable.  Ridiculous conjecture.   It's much more logical to assume they are on Earth and this is all a dream.  Posted Image

Also, the idea of STONE RUBBLE on the Citadel?  Ridiculous.  There is no such thing as stone on the Citadel, it can't possibly exist.  Pretty wild theory there of stone being on the Citadel.  Therefore this is a dream and they are on Earth.  Posted Image
