I don't know why people bother saying this, maybe they'll do that later on, this week it's experience. That's it really.

I'm pretty sure they have thought of offering credits, but just not this time.

PS3 users - buy a pc. Sony has never and will never allow third party interaction with their games. Get off your high horse and buy something useful.

Use that computer you have and research. Portal 2 Steam/Ps3. Get off your high horse and stfu

Ok, bioware screwed all PS3 players intentionally and they don't regret it and will never apologize. You just have to learn to live with that.

Back on topic. We will never see credit boost weekend. They are selling packs for real money too and it is not in their interest to give free credits.

I hope that you continue doing these events in the future. I wonder how many months/years you will be supporting the game, hopefully until the next Mass Effect-universe related game.

Why do the PS3 players get the Bonus XP? They didn't help.
It's always those damn PS3 users that get free stuff.

I demand that they get -25% EXP over the weekend.

You uh....You mad bro??
We're like the boss, you do all the work, but we get the rewards too!!

Uhm whats with the anti PS3 players attitude here? its not their fault they didnt get to participate on operation goliath, the only thing they did was to get the game for that console nothing else..

Also i had a blast fighitng reapers that weekend that was not "work" nor i feel its unfair for those who didnt participate to get the bonus exp this weekend, after all whatever the "lore" Bioware is using to promote this weekends promotion theres no real connection between the 2 of them, victory packs and commendation packs where a whole different deal.

Glad to hear they are keeping these events. keep em coming! hope to see whats going on with these promote characters stuff, ive promoted 7 characters so far and havent even played the single player campaign yet, so im not quite sure whats the deal with it (more galactic awareness for better ending i guess, not quite sure how the deal works yet)

So im gonna level all my characters up again promote them and get them to level 20 for the next weekend yay!

I'm sure there'll be times when the Xbox / PC users miss a challenge too.
As Commander Shepard says, "We're in this war together". Don't hate!

Maybe for a special event, Packs could be 10% cheaper on random days.

So it seems that we get less brutes....but twice as many Banshees and Ravagers? :P

Or that's what it seemed like anyway.

I personally don't like this weekends passive +25% XP Bonus.
Last week's Operation was more fun fighting all those Brutes + an actual equipment bonus.

Fairly sure the problem with PS3 was probably Sony not allowing Bioware to retrieve information from multiplayer games, though I could be wrong. It just makes sense - they can give extra XP because they don't need to retrieve any statistics, but couldn't record brute kills. I mean, what other reason would they have - and don't say because they hate the PS3, because that is honestly one of the most retarded things said on these forums lately. I figure it might be a privacy protection policy of Sony's or something, but I don't know - that seems like it would make developers job's a lot harder for little reason.

I'm interested in seeing why Bioware is encouraging people to have level 20's for next weekend. Sounds cool though - I've stopped promoting my characters for the moment. My best guess is that it either involves doing something in gold or some sort of reward for promoting characters, either of which sounds cool.

So Operation: Goliath really turned me off from the ME3 multiplayer. I have the PS3 edition, and I haven't played since I found out that operation was only for 360 and PC users. I have  both 360 and pc, as well as my ps3, and I feel like I have been loyal to Bioware, and they left me out of getting better weapons and the victory pack because of the platform I choose. I only got it on PS3 because I had a character to import from my ps3 mass effect 2. They should make things right. Have a special weekend for only PS3 owners. Give us a chance to get the N7 weapons. Make it right for excluding us!

ok, with each promotion in next week challenge, we will get a reward? or is it maybe, just one reward for all promotions? i just want to know should i level up all my characters.

It would be a mistake to give infinite rewards since it would encourage cheaters.

I agree with the latter, but I think given the description in this thread it would be smart to have ALL your classes at level 20 by next weekend.  If it only required any one promotion they wouldn't need this weekend to prep, as most players probably have at least one one level 20 character, so something more difficult is likely.  For instance they could require you to promote a certain number of teams to get your one reward, and those that have 6 promotions off the bat will have an easier time, or they could require a specific number of promotions for a certain class.

The latter seems likely to me, as it comes with a story very easily: "A full battallion-sized element of STG, tasked with harassing and sabotaging reaper collection facilities on multiple planets, was wiped out on their way to Alliance Space before they could be covertly inserted!  N7 Special Ops needs to train, battle harden, and send to the front lines, X teams of infiltrators to fill in STG's ranks."  Plus, that would cause us to play differently for a weekend, like Goliath did, which should probably be the main focus of these events -- different gameplay.

That is what i tought too.
I hate when people say "give us credit boost" because that doesn;t make sense. It could happen, but is very unlikely. The point of this tasks is to make us play every part of the game. People were afraid of reapers on silver and gold, so we were offered reward if we beat it. Many people are not promoting their characters, so we will get rewards for doing it. Preparation for next week will make us play all classes.
People are focusing on rewards and want them for free. Instead, they should understand reason for objectives.

Quick question, will the amount of classes you promote for next weeks event matter?

I didn't notice more banshees. Had couple reaper matches and we didn't had problems with banshee spam.

True that, for basically all of what you said.

But, as unlikely as a +25% credits "reward weekend" is, it wouldn't shock me if eventually (or maybe even the weekend after the promoting promotion), a "buy one get one" special will go down, two packs per purchase whether you use credits or bioware points -- that way rather than merely stifling future bioware points purchases, they actually offset that with a short-term shopping spree, as people may be inclined to spend a few bucks while the getting is good, in addition to scrambling to make the most profitable runs their team can reliably finish.

Or at least that's what I'm daydreaming about happening right when they reimburse the kits re-locked bug victims, as I've put huge amounts of wear and tear on my level 1 predator while accumulating millions that I don't want to spend if it means unnecessarily re-un-locking things I'm getting back anyway. :)
