Buy a PC? Oh, sure, constant updates, driver problems, half the hardware not being compatible with each other, too slow to use the full resolution, too old to use the newest 3D graphics, playing with hackers (in any game) and in half a year I have to buy a new one. And then another one. And another one.
Maybe some people don't want the hassle. Maybe some people just like to buy something for one purpose: to play. And they expect it to work, because for the most part it does. And it will keep on working for 5 times longer than any PC standard will hold.
It's just weird that people still advocate PCs as a casual gaming platform, yet it is the platform with the most consistent technical problems, ever. And oh, yes I know, the Xbox is a Windows PC, and I've been playing games on PC since Microsoft/Microprose released their UFO flight simulator, working with it, programming, upgrading, so I actually know that unless you have the money and the time and the absolute urge to have the best graphics in gaming, even if you constantly have to upgrade and update, it's not worth the hassle if you only want to play a few games.
How many threads are there about Origin Problems, Compatibility Problems, OS problems, Driver Issues, System Requirements and all of that for the consoles?
