I can get to level 20 in a day, and not even on a day off from work/school. I would understand this if getting level 20 was hard... but it's not. But I won't complain beyond that because I appreciate the active role they are doing with multiplayer... but I think they should have week-long events.. not weekend long. Different people have different schedules.

Operation:  FORTRESS

With Reaper forces beaten back, relief efforts are under way in the newly-taken territory.

During this period, Reaper enemies will be severely depleted and there will be far fewer brutes than usual.
All players will get +25% experience over the weekend as Citadel Allied Command reviews the lessons of Operation Goliath and uses them to train new forces.

Looking ahead: Admiral Hackett has put out the call for advanced combatants among the N7 squads. These troops are being marshaled for an upcoming elite operation. Experience under fire leads to promotions….

Welcome to the next N7 multiplayer weekend!

Last weekend the community joined together to push back the reapers in Operation Goliath. With over 3 million brutes killed, their numbers have been decimated. Expect to encounter far fewer this weekend.

Hello Chris, appreciate the cool event, HOWEVER, does this mean that the brutes will be replaced with other enemies in their places or that the simple wave total each game will be the normal total minus brutes?

If the removed brutes are simply replaced by alternate enemies, this is actually a BAD THING FOR PLAYERS as brutes are amongst the easiest enemies in the reaper faction.

This is another gift from Bioware. I think there are too many "half-glass empty" cats in the forums.

With 25% bonus xp & unknown enemy and unknown location you can level extrmely fast with a toal of 50% free xp per match.

I will take this opportunity to promote classes that I am not 100% happy with their overall builds and look at is basically a faster way to rebuild the classes.

Black World Tendency Weekend in Reaperland?

The thought of twice as many Ravagers is not a pleasant one. I never see them until it's too late.

Yeah, the 25% xp bonus isn't a huge huge incentive. But it will let me try out some new builds, so that's kinda cool. Was hoping for another shot at a N7 weapon, though. Probably won't happen until they figure out a workaround for PS3.

Wonder what next week's event is going to be then if they say we should get to level 20. Going to take serious advantage of this and level up every class up to 20, thank you college for giving me classes with no work at all

You're right, this is a nice event, kudos to Bioware for throwing an event that all it's users can appreciate.  <3

It is hard to maintain a positive outlook though, you might admit, when there's announcements like these, but a dead silence for those of us waiting for any final word on what's going on with the multiplayer re-locking bug.

All I'd settle for now is just a word or two on where they are on the process.  50% done? 10%?  A day or two away, a week, a month or longer?  Nobody knows and apparently nobody's willing to talk to those of us who are affected.   :(

Edit: If it's unclear, yes the bug itself is fixed (huzzah!), but the items lost are still in limbo.

If only we could get information from someone in the company that isn't armed with an automated script capable of firing off a slew of pre-written answers, misdirections, delays and stonewalling.  Some people are actually spending money on multiplayer and effectively losing it to this game's glitches.  If I wanted to take those kinds of risk/reward opportunities and wondering if I would effectively wake up dead broke (in game in this case) I'd be in Vegas for Spring Break getting drunk and hitting the tables.

If this is the established flow, I like it. A challenge weekend, then a more laid-back reward weekend. Nice. Here's hoping next week's challenge will be a little more potent so that a 15% extra credit reward weekend won't seem so ridiculous. *fingers crossed*

Has there been any response by Bioware regarding PS3 issues with multiplayer events? EA customer service sent me to the forums to leave my complaint.

Is there a better way to contact Bioware customer service?

+25% xp? Are people so bad they can't hit 20 in a couple hours of bronze, much less of silver/gold?

If they want us to hit 20, I'm betting there's going to be a Gold challenge... I've never done a gold. My little heart is all aflutter!

Then I doubt they're all that worried about hitting 20 in the first place.

Was it RP or are we talking about a real change for this weekend?

And great news, time to promote a few guys! :)

It will be a real change :)

Also, this is just the second weekend in a series - there are more challenges and things to come.

Nice, thanks for the clarification.

What an insane leap of logic.

Some people are too busy during the weekdays to play mass effect, but really enjoy the multiplayer and want to do better at it by increasing their level.

What better time to do it than during a weekend that adds 25 percent to the XP?

Agree with the others who think extra XP isn't anything great - it's like saying you're going to give us more air to breath. XP is common, and while a bonus in conjunction with something else isn't bad it's not really  helpful to those who are already maxed out. Credits would be better, even if it's only a 5% bonus, since we can use credits to upgrade our kits.

Operation Goliath was a good event since it gave us a goal to fight towards, and it had lasting tangible rewards. The N7 Valiant I got from the event is now my favorite gun and I expect I'll be using it for quite a while. So make future events like that - goal driven with real rewards.
