If there's no other adept or anyone to trigger a biotic explosion, there's no point in staying as a drell adept. Drell adept is really just a support class and spreads aids everywhere.

You can trigger it with one of your cluster grenades. With 6 fitness you can sprint extra fast between ammo crates to keep your grenades up.

If you play on gold like I do, you should know that the mobs have far more health and that there's quite a few more of those mobs. You won't always have grenades ready. It will most likely be used for those "oh %@$!" moments. And if you actually choose to run around, you also risk death which is something the drell adept should never do, not even to revive a teammate.

Yeah I have only played my drell on silver so far. I only play gold when I have three friends online who are up for it, which is seldom.

Pull is AMAZING. What people don't seem to realize is that it staggers all shielded enemies (not Phantoms, though) - you might not be able to combo them, but thanks to Pull's low cooldown, you can shoot off shields easily, keep that Nemesis out of cover, keep Pyros from flaming, etc etc etc

It's like a really long hitstun, when you Pull a shielded enemy. Try spamming it on them while shooting and see - it's like Stasis in that it makes shooting them really easy.

Just bring a Paladin, spec drell for solo play and use grenades when you won't miss them for when it really matters

Doesn't have stasis, that just means nerf stasis

Here is the link I mentioned:

Only thing I'll do different is 3 points in pull for situational use, and comboing trash mobs.

I think he used pull like 3 times in the first two waves. Then again, he only used cluster grenade in the first two waves, as well.

It at least renders the arguement moot.

Did a pub Silver game as a Drell Adept weilding nothing but a Vindicator V and using self-combos against Cerberus.

Ended up with 80K+ points while everybody else was no higher than 35K.

Also, did a Gold match with him at Lv. 15 on Gold and we got a full extraction. But that was because I Reaved everything to help set off combos.

Pull is awesome. Yes, you can combo with other biotics, but pull itself is great, especially for AOE. I rank it up to 6 so I can get some 6/6 explosions with the +50% force/damage boost. With pull, you can turn your support Drell into a midrange killer who can handle anything. Pull is also an awesome disabler, which can free you up to shoot a shielded enemy without having to worry about cannibal/trooper grenades. Reave does DOT, but it doesn't stop the baddies from shooting at you.

See health? Pull + Reave.
See shield or barriers? Reave spam.
See armor? Reave + Grenade

It staggers them if you hit them with Reave. More reliable to do that when they're not behind cover.

Pretty sure Reave only staggers for a few moments, unlike how it worked in ME2. Pull can disable for up to 7 seconds, plus the fall, leaving you plenty of time to shoot, detonate, or run as necessary.

1) max reave
2) Only select the class when you see one of the teammates go asari adept or vanguards.

Oh, you're talking about pulling UNshielded targets.

I will be promoting my adepts for the weekend challenge. I will be redoing my Drell with the following build based on an awesome example vid I watched yesterday. The build I'll be trying is this:

6 reave
6 cluster
6 fitness (for speed and slight hp/shield boost)
5 passives for power damage and weight reduction
3 pull for unprotected enemies and guardians

I'll try to link to the gameplay vid if I can find it. I believe the guy's build was 0 in pull, but I use it enough that 3 and 5 is better IMO.

This is the build I use. You don't need Assasin 6 because the Carnifex is light enough to keep you at 200% RS without the extra WR.

Yes--disable the grunts so you can focus on the protected enemy without getting some speed holes in your drell.

the movement speed on the drell as 6 is something you simply can't pass up. combined with the ninja flipping it's amazing the situations you can flip yourself out of. if you're gonna go five in one of these I'd go for movement speed over shields, you'll dodge yourself out of far more damage then that shied will take.

Nah, reave pull pull pull pull (and continue pulling 'til reave wears off). Unless you're playing geth, then forget about reave.

For my Drell Adept I roll Tempest/Mattock. Cooldown is just good right for my power usage.

I Reave everything. EVERYTHING (and that includes Geth). There is nothing that I will not Reave or Pull (then Reave). Armored targets? Banshees? bch plz I got Cluster Grenades to complement my Reave spamming.

Just to repeat that you can spam pull on SHIELDED targets to stagger them :P
