So I wanted to have a quick gold match yesterday with my Turian Sentinel (lvl 19 - Phalanx VI - Warp - Overload - Power Spam Build with Tech armor for the extra Power Damage and Damage reduction) My N7 rating at the moment was 110 I believe.

As soon as I got in a lobby and see 2 red X marks on my tag so while waiting for the third one I asked:
"Care to tell me why you want me out?"

Then the response was: "You are going to be a liability to the team, low N7 rank (they were around 200 - 220), and your weapon sucks"

And then puff i'm kicked as soon as a third guy joined.

Lucky me after looking for another game to join in the few seconds after that got in the same lobby.

They said "CommanderFAAAAAAIL, hello again", saw the red X again and asked if they are serious about that sole reason to kick me. I asked that if the fawking N7 rating has anything to do if the player is good or bad (as far as I know the rating goes up if you lvl up the class and promote it and keep lvling up. Already finished the game, don't need to do it, maybe if I need a respec and don't have the respec card available).

So in my mind "anyone" can do that. Hell anyone can get good weapons by playing and buying the packs.

So to my understanding because i'm using a Phalanx, a turian sentinel and not a bloody sniper rifle and the same class as everyone i'm going to suck?

I'm 26 year old, live by my own, have to go work and cook and clean by myself, so if I don't have the time to play ALL DAY LONG to unlock better weapons taking into account that my build was for spamming skills i'm going to make them lose the game? Jeez...

The game started (didn't get kicked this time), team composition was an Asari Adept (n7 Valiant) Quarian Infiltrator (n7 Valiant) another Quarian Infiltrator (Black Widow) and me...

Hell I just wanted a quick game, my task was for stripping defenses, have fun and what not but dammn, that guy pissed me off when he said "I don't want to carry you because I know you are going to suck".

Then end score didn't matter to me.  I got like 60k, the other 3 like 100k each.
We won against Cerberus in Gold, full extraction, did my job. Revived when possible, didn't played like the newb they though I was.

But take this as a rant or just a way to vent the anger I felt at the time.
Just wanted to know if any of you felt something like that before and opinions about it.

Hasn't happened to me, probably cause my n7 is stupidly high. But I wouldn't boot someone out of a gold lobby for being n7 100. That high of an n7 is perfectly acceptable unless a team is looking for a player that will carry them.

If they wear some awful equipment, then I would try to boot them. Like some melee krogans with terrible shotguns. I actually made the mistake of giving a melee krogan a serious chance one time and he died right away on round 1 and then left the game soon after.

Haven't had that problem yet. I have been kicked before (but I don't know why),but people who present a holier than thou attitude over a video game are always going to annoy me. I can understand if other players are wary about a certain weapon set up, but there's no need to be an ass about it like those guys were to you, OP.

I have N7 530 more or less and this sucks, simply I can't understand this attitude. When i see people like that trying to kick without a good reason , I leave the lobby , I don't want to play with them ...

Seems the only way to have a good time while playing gold is with buddies you played before (add them and treasure them :D, saves you the anger to have to deal with douchebags)

Look for a random group and "Prepare for unforeseen consequences"

N7 rating is a total joke, all it shows is if you enjoy levelling multiple classes to 20 and promoting them. Has absolutely nothing to do with ability to complete a Gold mission.

How does it affect SP? Dont you like win by default?

Yeah, playing with buds is the best way to not get screwed.  I have close to 120 N7 rating and I've never been kicked when forced to do a quick match, but I never quick match gold.  I know some people are better than me and mine, but we only attempt gold with a full group of players we can count on to have our backs.

I'd invite you to my group, but you sound like you're better than us. :P  Don't wanna hold ya back.

My n7 isn't that high, but it's close to 500 now. But honestly, it's taken a long time to get this high. I wish I even knew what single player was like. I actually bought this game without knowing anything about multiplayer, it just happened to be so fun and addictive to the point where I never gave single player a chance.

Why join gold then?

You're using a sub-optimal build/class combo, poor weapons and were not max level. If you hit ready before buffing I'd vote kick you too. Those are all warning signs that you might not be worth the risk of playing with. I'm in the same position as you. Work a lot, family obligations, etc, etc.

I'm not going to chance wasting my time and increasing my stress level.

I'm staying at 120 N7 rating when I reach it.

I feel no need to export characters to a game I already beat. That said, these guys are just a bunch of, and I quote, "blind, stubborn morons".

Sure, send me an invite and we can play together from time to time, my Origin Id is CmdrFail.

I'm pretty open to play mp, not looking for Leet skillz or something. I just like to play in an organized matter respecting others.

Yeah, see a lot of that on gold. I enjoy the challenge, but it's tough playing alongside elitists. That is why I tend to hang around silver more often: more variety in classes and less elitists. That, or play with my own group.

I'm pretty laidback, so if you ever want a team mate on gold, feel free to add me on Origin. Same ID.

Sadly, its all moot, as I play on Xbox, and you seem to play on PC. :crying:  Good luck looking for team mates. We found our fourth by doing quick matches and looking for anyone that responded well to warnings and replied with their own.  Communication is the key to victory.

I wanted a "quick" gold game, for the credits you know...

Yeah i know that other classes are better than the sentinel (jack of all trades, master of none), wanted to get the class to 20, i was 19 at that same moment, and regarding my skills from 19 to 20 wasn't going to make a lot of a difference as i already maxed the other skills.

Also i didn't insta "ready" when i got in the lobby, i picked the most appropiate equipment for the class and press ready when they did too.

So don't assume the way it went if you haven't played with me before.

I lol'd.

Also, this has been posted about a few times and it seems that the Xbox communtity is full of these e-peen enhancement promoting ****s. Not sure what platform your using but sounds like the same thing.

Your better off not wasting 20 minutes of your life with these losers. All a high N7 rank means is that they can't figure out how to play a character so they keep promoting it in hopes of respecing to something that works for them. Why else would you promote your characters over and over again?

Same reason here, promoted the Vanguard for the achievement, not gonna be bothered to do that again, so i guess my N7 Rating will stay at 140.

As a sidenote, Gold is were the priiizeee is at, more challenge, need more preparation, mandatory teamwork, better exp and credits.

So going for a quick gold random is like driving very fast knowing that a dangerous curve is around the corner.

You could have easily finished off that last level in silver. Also, you get six talent points for hitting 20. That's a capstone ability you're missing.

I didn't assume hence the word "if".

During the weekdays I have maybe an hour of time to myself. My time is too important and you're too much of a risk.

I really don't feel like promoting my Infiltrator anymore so I'm probably going to remain where I am now at about 112. If I finally get that Asari Adept, I'll probably bump it some more but the bottom line is N7 rank does NOT equal skill.

Promoting endlessly reminds me of those who keep playing COD and do Prestige so they can unlock a stupid colored medal to go along their names, no really a point though but they do it either way just to show they play that game 24/7 honing the skillzzz.
