if a low N7 joins my gold game, im kicking him.

i know N7 doesnt tell you how good a player is, but generally i see low N7 players doing a lot more stupid things than high N7 players.

i know there are excpetions, but if i don't know you, N7 level and gear is all i have to go by really.

Well that's your call to make, but I don't agree with it.

You don't have to argee with it. We're all strangers. But don't put a negative spin on it like you wouldn't do the same. The internet is full of BS, you can never tell who is telling the truth.

I don't believe for a second you people saying you don't kick anyone on gold.

I have yet to see someone on the boards say N7 = skill.

I see a lot of people, however, say that N7 = provable experience. I'm one of them.

Naturally my N7 score is 27485 and I can't be bothered by others who have anything less 1000. I have a reputation and I cannot disgrace my family name by only playing this game 22 hours a day. I don't understand you peasants who don't understand the importance of the N7 level but that is probably because you went to public school and don't have a trust fund. That means you have to work and have responsibilities and bills to pays and all that drivel that I can't be bothered to deal with.
If you want to play with me I need to see commitment. And if you N7 is not up to sniff then that just proves I'm better than you.

N7 rating demonstrates experience, nothing more. It's not even accurate as a lot of players leave their characters at 20 for ages ( I certainly do). I'm N7:200(ish) now, and I'm not demonstrably better than I was at N7:50.

You seem to think you can reason with these people. That if you provide them with proof of your skill you can force them to reconsider their retarded opinions.

You can't.

imo the legit reasons of kicking are.

1.) gold runs character at least lvl 18 anything lower i votekick
2.) Any Vanguard playing gold runs. Sorry but there are more bad vanguards than good ones out there
3.) Anyone playing gold runs with less than 80 N7 rank. Maybe your good but shows lack of exp.
4.) Less than lvl 12 on Silver runs.
5.) bronze... all are welcome.

I've seen plenty of good Vanguards but the problem is that they're glitched/lag as f*ck not always though but often enough but kicking just for being vanguards are a bit stupid as are N7 rank you could have played a lot SP and be really good i've finshed gold several times with people even under 80 and they where good !

All ofthe reasons for kicking people I've seen are not good enough reasons. But not suprising, online communities always have elitists. Like people who will kick because of weapons, n7 rating, not using equipment, want me to play some other class.

My N7 rating is 232, so people usually don't kick me for having my unconventional set ups, but it pisses me off when people tell me to kick someone else. First off, those of you who kick people for reasons past incredibly lower leveled characters, not readying up, or just in general being a dick to everyone, you can all bite me.

I've been kicked twice, both times because I told the guy telling me to change my weaons to bugger off. And yet I'm constantly told to kick people I can see no reason that they should be kicked. It is starting to get old people.

I'm around level N7 100 now and I've never been kicked from a game - bronze, silver, or gold - by anybody. They only people I've ever seen kicked are people who sit around in the lobby too long. Who cares if the guy who's NY level 6 can't play and gets himself killed all the time? The guy is just starting the game: he doesn't know how it works yet. I'm not going to kick him just because he hasn't played the game much yet. Even the higher level people that F up - people learn at different speeds. It's just a game people: be considerate of your fellow gamers.

And if you simply can't stand that 99% of n00bs aren't at your 1337 level of playing, then play with a group of friends instead of joining randoms and complaining about player skill.

I am N7 level 290 or so, so I don't have this problem... quite the opposite.

I join Silver matches as a level 1 and nobody says anything other than "Wow you have such-and-such guns?!?! Cool"

It seems once you pass 250 you are immune to kicks almost.

I personally hate elitists.... if a level 80 joins a Silver match why in the hell would I kick him? 80 is perfectly acceptable for Silver!

If he joins Gold then I give him one chance, if he doesn't revive I will kick him next round.

I never kick based SOLELY on N7 level. If the guy has a level 20 Adept, or really good guns, then he is actually a bigger asset to the team than the N7 350 level 3 Infiltrator with a Mantis X.

not true. ive been kicked multiple times for having a high n7 rank. Idiots thought i  was gonna "steal all the points"....<_<

hey autobahn (german ?) - sounds to me as if they were doing some solid teamplay. running around and aiming for the highest bodycount is not the way to go, especially on gold. defending the same spot is.
I am not trying to insult you, its just the way things are.

ontopic : I do not think that a high n7 score means that you can play extremely well - it just means that you know a lot of classes and are bound to be more experienced , as one of my foreposters already said.

I would never boot someone who was just starting out, I just wouldn't expect to win anything above bronze. I would try to help them out rather than kick them - for all you know they could turn into an even better player than you once they have levelled up their characters.

I class a low N7 rank as anything below 30, above that at least they have some understanding of the gameplay mechanics. Their characters individual level and weapon load out is more of a factor. You could be an N7 rank of 20 and still have a single level 20 character, have won the valiant in the recent event, or unlocked some other decent rare weapons by luck, and be perfectly capable of taking on silver or gold with a good team - so N& rank means nothing.

Adepts or Vanguards with heavy weapons are what make me think "Oh god.." when I look at their classes, but if I don't tell them that its generally a bad idea then its my fault. Its because a lot of people want to play like a soldier and figure that they will be mainly shooting, especially after picking all the weapon damage options in their character tree. They pick adept or Vanguard as its a fun class and they like the powers as an extra ability rather than the main ones, and shooting stuff out the air was always fun on singleplayer on the previous games.

They just need to know that power spamming is actually more effective than shooting weapons, even maxed out, with upgrades and ammo powers, and this even applies to many of the best weapons too. Its a shame in a way - as I think a good soldier should be able to do a bit more damage with weapons - a 65% boost for a minute or so still isnt as good as an infiltrators 90% boost from cloak, when I can recharge cloak in little over a second and just pick a weapon that hits hard. Its not actually the classes fault, but rather the disadvantages that using full automatics has is affecting the core of the class. Automatics are awful against armour in general, and dont seem to do as much damage against normal enemies as single shot weapons. I got a Phalanx early on and even un-upgraded its more useful than the Avenger X, Phaeston II, Vindicator III, buffed revenant III etc. I dont think this should change much, but I think they should perhaps get more of a greater advantage against health and normal enemies, that way the soldier would be great at mowing down infantry leaving the specialised classes to concentrate on power enemies. I would say that automatics are supposed to be better against sheilds and barriers too, but they always seem to get stripped in seconds by tech powers anyway.

Plus, as some others have pointed out, N7 level really has nothing to do with how good of a player you are. You can have a guy who has played hundreds of matches and could be N7 400 if he wanted to, but is N7 20 because he likes playing one class and doesn't want to "promote" his lv 20 character. I'm halfway to lv. 20 with the infiltrator and just have engineer to level after that, then I have no intention of promoting any character, since [see any thread in the campaign "spoilers" section for why.] So that will make me what, N7 120 or something and I won't advance past there even if I play 500 more games.

Yeah same, I'm going to hit N7 150 when my last class gets to 20 and then it won't move past that point. (promoted once, then realized it was pointless)

Once you get past ~70 N7, if you're trying to determine how much experience someone has, weapon ranks are a better measure than N7 rating.

good for you that you've seen a lot of good vanguards. I usually get teamed up with vanguards who think they're superman and can't die with their charge/nova combo and I always chuckle when Banshees or the other heavies pick them up. SP exp doesn't really count because you have pause, medigel, and don't have the same amount of enemies in a gold match. On top of that there is no sense of teamwork on SP. Gold runs need teamwork or at least a decent amount of coordination.

Why join gold then?

You're using a sub-optimal build/class combo, poor weapons and were not max level. If you hit ready before buffing I'd vote kick you too. Those are all warning signs that you might not be worth the risk of playing with. I'm in the same position as you. Work a lot, family obligations, etc, etc.

I'm not going to chance wasting my time and increasing my frustration level.

I wanted a "quick" gold game, for the credits you know...

Yeah i know that other classes are better than the sentinel (jack of all trades, master of none), wanted to get the class to 20, i was 19 at that same moment, and regarding my skills from 19 to 20 wasn't going to make a lot of a difference as i already maxed the other skills.

Also i didn't insta "ready" when i got in the lobby, i picked the most appropiate equipment for the class and press ready when they did too.

So don't assume the way it went if you haven't played with me before.

You could have easily finished off that last level in silver. Also, you get six talent points for hitting 20. That's a capstone ability you're missing.

I didn't assume hence the word "if".

During the weekdays I have maybe an hour of time to myself. My time is too important and you're too much of a risk.

Lol what a joke. Someone knock this joker off his/her high horse. They are mucking the place up with manure...
