got to agree with the 'dont change, add more' sentiment going on here...like alot of people said, our choices dont matter, the endings are the same with little differences

I just cant see how they missed this, how can they say we have 3 endings?

Please DO change the ending. The God child, the escaping Normandy, the star gazer... none of them made any sense.

To all you changers, get a job at the writing staff. You obviously know more about writing than the BioWare writing staff. They had nothing to do with the writing in ME1, ME2 and 99% of ME3. It was written by you guys. You clearly know whats best.

Why stop at games? We are so entitled to have our way all the time like spoiled little brats why not take some attention to the movie scene and change the endings to every movie that didn't live up to expectations as well.

This is a common practice. It's called a test screening, and in most cases leads to changes based on the viewer feedback. How did you not know about this?

Books get changed too. Sherlock Holmes was brought back to life because of fan complaints. This was in 1893.

Long story short, you're whining about nothing.

The ME3 ending is rumored to be written by only two people, without the input of the rest of the staff.   But you definitely don't need to be a writer to notice bad writing.

I've actually seen quite a few fan endings that were better than what we got. So yeah. Hire those guys.

The two people who directed the writing staff. But they clearly don't know what they're doing.

They clearly made a mistake.  Otherwise there would not be such a major backlash, and the co-founder of Bioware would not have to make any statements to address the issue.

That article was confirmed as a fake.  That said I'm finding it hard to shake the feeling that this is what happened, that the other writers were cut-off from the final scene writing (whether thats because of the leak or whether Bioware started to believe their own RPG-Gods press), and one writer's and one exec producer's solitary writing went out of control unrestricted and unchecked.  I really don't want to believe that, but I'm finding that scenario hard to disbelieve.

Sherlock Holmes is certainly an excellent example and a true work of art.

If they change the ending, I think they will do it via DLC. If that is the case, whoever doesn't want the new ending, doesn't have to instal/download the new ending. So you don't have anything to worry about. You can keep the nonsensical ending, while we enjoy the new one.

If what they produced engendered this kind of response, then, at the very least, I'd say they made a....large mistake.
