"We are creating new content to clarify and add closure as per the request of many loyal fans! That's all"

I'm fairly certain thats not what we've been requesting.  Am I just mistaken and dissatisfied, or are they really just not listening correctly?

Sigh. I think this might be a case of them hearing what they want to hear.

That's what we wanted. It was never about getting a "happy" ending, its about getting an ending that isn't filled with plotholes and explains the whole catalyst/reaper thing in more detail.

They are listening is just PR speak. Them actually listening? No.

>clarify
>closure

They don't seem to understand the whole last 10min. makes no sense and they are not changing that. Something with shoving their legacy through everyone's throat, speculations and too video gamey.

I love the "clarify". It's like "jesus, you guys didn't know about Indoctrination, eventho you played our games? Meh, we'll just have to explain it to you since you're to stupid to understand the ending".

classic.

They want to do the bare minimum of our list, and try to cover plotholes, this goes a long way towards the demand of players, there will be no options for utterly bleak endings neither a happy ending, just more exposition on the catalyst AND maybe an epilogue so that you know how badly you screwed the galaxy.

This is why it annoys me to see people saying that we won.

Another reason why fans are not really backing off. They will not specifically state what they are doing.

It leads to these assumptions 1) they don't know what they are going to do and they are scrambling or side-stepping 2) this was planned all along and they are being vague (indoctrination or similar)

Yeah. We'll see is all I can say.

I personally don't think that ending is salvageable but then again, maybe ALL the writers will get to work on it this time. They have the talent, but... that ending...

I wanted a happy ending, but this is better then nothing i suppose, and yes JohnnyG this is most certainly a case of them hearing what they want to hear. Remember they are getting perfect reviews from IGN!

And it'll be a case of me getting my money back. Thankfully, the manager at my GameStop has been there for like 10 years, knows my brothers and I pretty well, and usually goes out of her way to help the customers.

Thats not what they're fixing though.  They only want to add some clarity to their exestential nonsense and then give us a bit more time with the characters.

Not fix glaring plot holes or give an ending that actually shows us the consequences of our choices outside of colors.

My guess is that when we wanted a new ending they just assumed we wanted more of the current one, if it explains things then I'd be ok with that, but I'd much rather prefer a better ending.

Better than nothing I suppose....still doesn't stitch the wound of having to be exposed to the original ending and wait for "clarification", whatever that means.

This.
I don't want clarification on this nihilistic, torturous ending.
I don't want pithy explanations for why Shepard is a quitter and why Joker is a coward.
I want new endings, not this dark age garbage they forced down our throats.
