When this content comes out, then we'll actually see if they were "listening." I have a bad feeling that it will be more along the lines of Bioware defending themselves than actually taking fan critique into consideration. -- i.e., "No, you guys got it all wrong. This is why it's awesome!"

Also note that this may not be all negative
Clarification = more details, more explanation, less plotholes and inconsistencies.
Closure = real endings to this wonderful gaming experiences that depend on your action.

I'm hopelessly optimistic. Love you Bioware!!! Please?

So, they throw us an Olive Branch and we are going to flat out fight against it, rather than consider it?

Sometimes I hate being on the same side as idiots.

As Miranda would say on the Collector Ship, "this is disconcerting."

Is everybody on the rag all the time on this board?. This should be seen as a positive thing. Nowhere in that quote did it imply that they weren't listening, or that specific complaints weren't going to be addressed. Some people complain about Bioware using PR speak to pacify them, but Bioware cant say anything without it being unfairly dissected. nobody knows what they have planned, and being negative just for the sake of it (which this place excels at) does no one any good.

They can't change the ending, you know this, right?

They can build on, expand on, add to, but cannot change the ending. If they changed the ending it would make investors very nervous. Why? Because it would be an admission that the game's ending was wrong. Best they can do is clarify what happened in the ending. Which best case scenario IMO would be that Shepard was fighting indoctrination and then we get a real ending.

They are meeting us halfway.

I just had a flashback of the Genesis DLC and some datapads, and shivered in fear.

I know how you feel.  I love BW too.  However, if it is anything short of the above stated, I will be watching it on Youtube.

Yeah, they're not listening. This is pretty much proof of that.

They can clarify and explain all they want, it wont make the ending better. It'll just add pointless details to something that shouldn't have happened.

If all we get is a codex entry explaining how space magic works or some cheesy text saying "the other races started the long voyage home" i'm going to be even more pissed.

Eh, if Bioware can make the ending make sense, I'll be satisfied.

It is not a positive thing. It is a sign that they intend to throw us a bone and not take us seriously.
If they end up doing this, then I am DONE with them for good.

They hint about Indoctrination.

Indoctrination Theory is solid.

They said they will provide "clarifaction" (Regarding Indoctrination that seemed to slip so many oblivious peoples mind, this is a definitive case for new players)

Closure = DLC, what happends next?

Hope they do something about ghost kid. Its always a great literary device to add a character in the last chapter that has never been in the book before...not.

Translation: "we're going to talk out our ass and attempt to make sense of our bull****"

I dont want the current endings. Barley anyone does. They're not worthy of the series. I want alternative endings to be made and i'll happily pay for them. :|

Its about understanding what they wanted to tell us.

was the intention to kill all life all along and the adam and eve scene the new beginning for all life?

the god child did say you would loose everything..

or was it all a dream that we will wake from?

are we now part of the machine?

who knows when they are ready they will tell us.

The thing is clarification does not mean expanding/build om/add to, to me clarification is closer to fill in the obvious gaps.

That's what we wanted. It was never about getting a "happy" ending, its about getting an ending that isn't filled with plotholes and explains the whole catalyst/reaper thing in more detail.

One of their major promises was that we would get 16 different endings all based on how well you did during the game and your past decisions. 16 endings in which Shepard dies would be...fail. Like the current ending.

They can clarify and explain all they want, it wont make the ending better. It'll just add pointless details to something that shouldn't have happened.

I wish them good luck explaining something that makes absolutely no sense and goes against the lore they established years ago.:pinched:
