I'd like to see them try to clarify the ending...

That'd be like trying to jump a tricycle through a dozen fiery rings hanging over 40 parked cars. That's how big the plot holes are.

I don't think it can be done.

Why would they change the ending? I think their approach is not only appropriate, but the right decision. Clarifying is the only thing they need to do since we are all so incompetent we didn't understand the ending.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

No amount of clarity fixes this ending.

It needs to changed not expanded. Do not double down on fail, it is not like a double negative making a positive.

That and we still were not given what we were promised, Many endings that changed depending on our actions through the game, not just A, B or C.

The only wiggle room they have is indoctrination, this way it's not real and they can add in the REAL endings.

QUESTION:
Will clarification take the form of a new color, say, YELLOW, or will the existing color schemes be used? The only way I could forgive a 'clarification only' ending is if the budget is outstanding. The ending was not Mass Effect and looks like a completely different team was brought in to come up with the plot and develop the writing. So amazingly bad.

Agreed. The ending was inconsistent with the entire body of work. It is a mistake. Everything so far says that they're too prideful to admit it. Fine. I won't continue with the Mass Effect universe. It isn't out of spite. I'm simply not interested anymore.

WOW. Someone ACTUALLY managed to find an antidote to, "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!"

Hmmm.. I wonder if it's possible to train a Pavlovian response so every time I look at shoes, I think of the ME3 ending...

If BW are gonna give a half-assed attempt at just 'clarifying' the ending then I'll happily clarify my decision to keep my money in my pocket when the paid DLC comes out.

Clarify doesn't cut it for me. No amount of exposition can explain circular logic so that it makes sense. No amount of exposition can justify a Diabolus Ex Machina. No amount of exposition can remove the fact that the Relays, and therefore the galaxy as we know it, are destroyed.

However I am perfectly willing to wait and see what they have in store. If the "clarify" was a direct response to one aspect of our grievance while they looked at other aspects, I will be fine. I hope they pull it off, but as I've said elsewhere, "trust is a little hard to come by these days."

I think there's a schism within Bioware. Some of them can't possibly be happy with this ending.

You can't defend something that is indefensible. These endings need to go.

Agree, it really is difficult to imagine that not one person at Bioware looked at the current ending and got concerned.

Clarify and closure? Are they kidding me? That's hardly what we have been asking for. The ending is broken in so many ways that an mere epilogue won't nearly cut it, there's mich more important stuff they need to fix. What about the "We are listening?". If you did, you are completely ignoring us, Bioware.

Or, they're sticking to their story. Just because they're listening, doesn't mean they were going to change anything.

=/ that's disappointing, I was really hoping for a rewrite of the endings or at least an option where we could take a totally separate route. I don't like the current endings, I think they are nonsensical and don't fit the themes and I don't think they can be redeemed by explanation, no matter how skillfuly it's implemented.

Are we still freaking about them "clarifying the ending" and "not changing" the ending?

We don't know what kind of content we're getting first of all, so let's wait and see. To be honest I'm scared to find out, but let's just hope that "it's not worse than what it already is".

I found the endings to have waaaay too many plotholes with the space magic and the lack of variation but if they can pull it off and make sense of it, then sure I'll welcome the content as long as it makes an impact to the different choices we have in the game.

We don´t know what they are preparing or how it will change the ending. Being angry about something we know almost nothing about based on vague twitter comment is complete waste of energy. Clarify and Closure can be played out in many different ways.

What I've said but way too many people are putting too much emphasis on a vague statement made on the ME twitter by people who seem like they are not intimately involved in the creative process.

What we do know is they are doing something regarding the ending and we will learn more in April. Instead of jumping the gun and damning Bioware further, how about we wait and see what they say/do next month?

Until then of course, you should continue discussing the matter in a constructive way. Not picking apart PR statements.
