That's what we wanted. It was never about getting a "happy" ending, its about getting an ending that isn't filled with plotholes and explains the whole catalyst/reaper thing in more detail.

It's about havingchoice matter. Clarfying the plot hole ridden ending is just half the battle, not the entire war.

I expected this, really. They love their ending, for some odd reason, and are just going to smooth over the plot holes via explanation rather than giving us what we actually asked for.

In my opinion, this makes it worse. I'd rather keep a bad ending with plot holes, because then I can write it off in my head as "Yeah, that's not what happened". Explaining what's missing just makes it all that much more real.

Seriously, calm down. They are not going to say on Twitter everything they plan on doing.

Stay calm and hold the line. Don't panic and overreact. Keep voting; keep voicing your opinion. We will get nowhere if everything turns into hate mongering and angry venom-spitting fans (which most of the people here ARE NOT). Just don't start.

This.  In the event of an actual decision, they would communicate it in a more formal manner.  They've already said as much after the whole "We're not changing the ending" fiasco a few days back on Twitter/FB.

Just about.  Final Hours shows that "galactic Dark Age" was part of their notes.

Can't wait to get closure on my crew being stranded on Gilligan's Island and Shepard being stranded on Earth.

No thanks.

I hope I'm wrong but when the DLC drops out, there will be a bigger backlash.

I'm sorry but...no happy ending aside this still wasn't what we requested: we wanted to additional endings, actual variance in the endings we can get, not simply adding more "clarity" and "closure" - that's essentially just tacking on an extra minute or two onto the current endings and nothing more?

This comes across as:

Our ending was good.  Here is why.

I bet it will end with Buy DLC.

Seeing as that's exactly what I wanted - I'm quite happy with that. So long as the clarification goes indepth as to what happens to the galaxy/your squad.

This. As long as I can say "This all makes sense" at the end of it, I'm happy. That and they add a tad more closure, which they have claimed.

They should be rewritten, not expanded upon. Simple as that.

So BioWare we still get the effin StarChild? Nononononononono! Does not compute! Will not buy! Away with STUPID STARCHILD!

Great now they've made me angry again!

But thanks anyway for doing at least "Something" but I'm gonna tell you now: It will probably be not enough!

No amount of clarity is going to make space child any more tolerable. None.

Not even if starchild is actually a part of your own mind trying to get you to give in to indoctrination? Hmmm? Mayyybbbeee

Cautiously optimistic; it's good to get confirmation that they're actually creating content.

But the question is: will it really just be a minute or two? We don't even know yet if this is free dlc or not and until there is (or is not) a price tag attached, there's the possibility it's not just a line o rtwo.

I view this "explain the ending" as an attempt to polish a turd. They need to realize that 90% of us consider these endings a turd and that no amount of polishing will make it not stink

If they can actually clarify the ending present while leaving it intact, I would be more surprised than almost any time I can remember.  That would be quite the accomplishment.

Unless of course they introduce another space child to explain the existence of the first space child, or something along those lines.  If the ending makes sense, even if it's bad, it would be better.

Oh goody. What I always wanted.

I was always quite unsure how I went from saving the galaxy to destroying it and dying a dog's death.

At least now I'll be CLEAR why I'm dying a dog's death and doing what in 10 minutes is completely contrary to what I've been doing the last god knows how many years in this universe.

Thanks Bioware. You win the Bobby Kotick award for excellence in elephant in room blindness..

Speak for yourself.
I want happy ending

There is nothing wrong with a "shephard dies" ending.  It was just executed in the worst manner ever.  All I'm asking for is a bit more detailed explaination as to the nature of the catalyst and why it couldn't just open the citadel relay from before ME1 even began.  I can even live with some minor plotholes.  I get it Joker was ordered to retreat so thats why he's in a mass relay.  But that doesn't explain how your crew you took with you got onboard the ship.  But the big one that NEEDS to be explained is the ctalyst not opening the citadel relay trap and needing soverign to do it.

Who exactly would order Joker to retreat and why, and what makes you think Joker would follow that order?

This is all we're going to get, for the simple reason that they can't afford to do more. Anything beyond "clarification" and "closure" will - INEVITABLY - be interpreted as a passive admittance of guilt, the ramifications of which I don't dare consider.

I"ll wait and see. No reason to cry out now because nobody knows what they are planning. However until it is released i will state that current "ending" is bad.

There's no way they can fill the plotholes.

The best they can do is DLC or Expansion and slightly change the ending.
