When you hit level 20 on any character from any of classes, you can 'promote' the entire class - this resets all of their stats and puts you back down to level 1.

Alternatively, you can get lucky and find a gold re-spec card, which allows you to redistribute all your points on 1 particular character.

Double XP this weekend - so it's a great time to promote a class, and start back from scratch.

Where do I go to promote a character?

And, will it re-set completely, or will it automatically invest a point into one power like when a class is unlocked? Because there are some classes where I just want to scrap the "Y" power (like soldier classes with Adrenaline Rush/Marksman).

You can promote in the character select window, when you select the class there should be a button at the bottom for promoting.

It wont reset completely though, it will still have that 1 point invested. The only way to get rid of it is a respec card.

To promote a character, it has to be level 20 first. Once it's level 20, in the character select screen, I think pressing X for a class that's at level 20 will give you the option to promote. Once promoted, all races of that class are reset to level 1, and their powers wiped. You keep any unlocked weapons, mods, and character customization options ,though.

Alternatively, if you get very lucky with Spectre packs, you can find a 'Reset Powers' card that lets you respec your character wtihout sacrificing your levels.
