Just what the hell. Bioware, we want a new ending, not some closure to the current ending.

They don't seem to get the problem with the ending.

This.

They say they're listening... BS.

I'd say you're not reading. Everyone wants something different. Hell, I'm holding the line and being part of the movement to support numbers but I just want closure. Let's not step on our toes people, just say what YOU want. Don't speak for the rest.

If they are doing what I think there doing....A whole lot of you are going to pretty shocked and baffled by it. It's going to be a real Kotor level twist.

He doesn't but Bioware lied about how the choices you made throughout the trilogy would effect the outcome of the game.

I dont think you read the OP, thats not what this tread is about. Dont hijack it by going off topic

I think in general we can agree that because we bought this game for story that we want the following:

We want our assets that we spent time building up to actually matter and play a role.

We want our choices to actually matter in our decision making and not all end up at the same point.

We want continuity in the series with both our actions and the lore itself so the story makes sense and follows an established plotline.

They were never going to totally remake a chunk of the game. So long as what they come up with isn't another 'lots of speculation' effort it will be a dramatic improvement.

This.

You were never.......NEVER going to get a completely new ending that negates what's there.

And if that's what anyone thought, you really are dense.

Nobody has even seen exactly what their doing. Just some vague comments that they are listening and going to change things in some way because people got angry. . . and your already angry at it? Entitled children. Start up a company, get tens of millions in funding and then make a game the exact way you want it. Otherwise buy or don't buy. Don't buy a product, fail to return, spend all this time on it and yell that you want them to alter something that isn't defective.

Leave them alone. Stop complaining. Let them do their thing.

You are just proving IGN correct when you make threads like this.

Doesn't it seem like some people won't be happy until either;

Indoc theory comes true
or
We get a new 2 disc ending for free?

Man, this is getting out of hand.

And yes, please don't speak like you are the voice of everyone. You are not.

It's funny how Bioware now has "artistic integrity". Their ending isn't art. If you have to call it art, then call it bad art. It's just awful, even when looking at it from an objective standpoint.

If my poll has more people voting "extension of this current ending" than the other 2 options combined, I'll write differently, something like, Bioware! Omfg, you are so right in extending this ending! So many people support your cause! Congrats, even though I'm not really too happy about it!

Something along that line.

As for me, I just want bioware to give us what they told us. Not more closure but endingS where our choices had matter. And i know i'm not the only one by far.

This goes back to what I said when Ray addressed us. Apprarently they really believed in this ending. Asking them to do anything more is asking for trouble since their hearts won't be in it.

The problem I have is whose hearts?  I find it hard to believe that for all the wonderfully amazing writing through the series, even in the 3rd (mordins death, geth and quarians, etc...)  That all of biowares heart was in the ending they provided.....

BZZZZ! Sorry, but that is an incomplete answer. SOME people want closure. SOME people want a new ending. SOME people want coffee. In other words, many people want many different things, and ya'll are not standing unified in 1 force, but rather lots of small, loud groups demanding stuff. Apparently, the people who want a new ending were louder. Maybe you'll be loud enough now they got what they want and you'll get what you want. Me? <shrug> I got some instant around here somewhere..,..

Indeed, not everybody wants the same thing.

Although it is largely agreed upon that the current ending has several large plot holes, and you can't really clarify a blatant error.

Kind of like a maths teacher stating "1+1= 3. Okay, let me clarify..."

At the time of posting 85% of the voters want something other than what Bioware are hinting at giving us.

If they want to hold onto their premise of "Listening" to us, this is something they have to take into account - Cold, hard, Undeniable numbers.

If Bioware are under the impression all we wanted was the same endings they've given us, expanded, they are demonstrably wrong. It's not opinion, its not "Oh they're just louder", it is objectively verifiable.

If there isn't more hidden depth to the terms clarification and closure by BioWare, this isn't what the community has asked for. Wait, see, then clearly let them know about it.

The endings need to be changed, neither fixed nor 'explained'.

The three choices are in total contradiction with all Mass Effect themes:
people self determination, unity forged despite differences (NOT homogeneity), fight against all odds.

This ending scrupulously violates each theme:
- Shep gives up
- accept to control the most lethal fleet ever known. While in ME2/ME3 Shep clearly states such power shouldn’t be wielded by just anyone.
- Genocides all non organics, whereas the whole trilogy makes clear synthetics are not hostile.- Alter the whole universe DNA and transform everybody in hybrid/monster without asking.

No difference = homogeneity = peace. Wonderfull way of thinking.
And some people even find those endings beautiful. I'm seriously wondering if they have understood anything about the series, and anything about life in general.

In any case, Sheppard would have refused ANY of these options.

They are not going to fix the ending. I dont think at this point they should. To change the ending would violate the artistry of the game. Plus, it would never clear the image from my mind of how horrible the ending was. But a clarification of the current ending would be better than anything they could possibly do at this point.

Is that enough? 200 votes? No, its probably not. In fact most of the Retake/Line Holding people are saying just the opposite, they don't want a new ending, they want additional endings/closure/clarification.

If my clarification and closure you mean indoc theory being true, possibility of blue babies or house with Tali and retention of mass relays, chance to see some war assets in action, and some epilogues about the fate of the galaxy, that'll do me.

Then I will begin my trilogy playthrough, buy all the dlc, pre-order DA3, start a SWTOR account and get Casey Hudsons name tattooed on my ****.

How very insightful... and you know this from the 14% survey? That's... very impressive.
