He's quickly moving up on my list of favorite characters. Love his attitude, his view on this cycle, and all of his snarky comments. I took him everywhere.

I really liked him. I was skeptical about how introducing a Prothean might ruin some of the mystery that was created around them during the 2 previous games, but I thought he came out great.

Javik and Liara on Thessia is great! He really does add to the story and I'm really happy to hear more on the Protheans. Also, his mails on the app are great.
"Evolve faster"
Laughed out loud at that one =)

Javik was well worth $10. He's great. And for those who dont know. Keep your eye on the Normandy's map, and check it often. Javik will frequently move around and new dialogue will be available. Great addition. And Thessia was fantastic! Im doing an all JAVIK insanity playthrough now.

The best character in the series to me is Garrus.
I did enjoy Javik, though. He reminded me a lot of the Nietzcheans from Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda.

He's Mass Effect's answer to Sten.
Next run through, I'm taking him along more.

Not going to buy that DLC at all. To me, the best part of the Protheans is that they are so far away. Listening to 'Vigil' while talking to the equally named VI on Ilos in ME1 was one of the most mournful, impacting moments in videogame history.

I thought he was a good character. But no one, no one holds a candle to Mordin!

Did anyone else feel that his 'Dark Energy' move looked way too cool for for little damage it did? It's description made it sound devastating but it was pretty, meh.
Awesome character though.

His Character was good.
I just didn't like using him on my squad. I dunno why. I just preferred using others.
Liara = OP

In his cycle, Javik was pro, because in his cycle things were pro, everywhere. In fact, in Javik's cycle, Protheans made doubled lens-paired glasses just to tell enslaved species to deal with it.

There were times i wanted to shoot him. Especially when I romamced Liarai wanted to kill.him for the way he talked to her. Like blah64 said he was awesome with my renegade Shep every renegade action i did he approved.

Javik is definitely great. He's more fleshed out and interesting, compared to the ho-hum "robot-trying-to-become-human" EDI.

He's a real dick... I keep wanting to bring him with me but when I do I regret it. He's not... A playful/awesome jerk like Jack. He's just a jackass, like Ashley

Put on your flame retardant jacket and be prepared to face the wrath of Ashley lovers LOL

I think he's one of the most important characters in ME3, and without him, the game is seriously lacking. Both in variety and novelty amongst the cast, as without him the squadmate list is dominated by older characters. Also, his mission is really cool, and uses call back music to ME1, and considering there really aren't enough sidequests that are . . . ACTIVE in ME3 (most are just shooting probes which . . . seriously, I wanted to actually rescue those Elcor!) helps the game quite a bit.
Basically, considering its obvious that he was intended from the beginning, it is a travesty that he was treated as DLC and charged for individually.
Javik is better than Kasumi or Zaeed combined, and as important as both The Lair of the Shadow Broker and The Arrival . . . he is not DLC, he is CORE UNIT.
If they were tossing me neat side missions along with MP maps, as well as armor pieces . . . fine. That's DLC.
Fixing the ending at this point . . . that's DLC (though that one better be free or that BioWare office is going to get SO much hate mail).
If they want to bring back a sweet mission or series letting me drive around on a new Mako, THAT is DLC.
If they want to create Poker Night on the Normandy (There is that card table there now), THAT is DLC.
Javik? He is not, and should not have been, DLC.
And that's all I have to say about that.

I like Garrus and Tali most, but Javik is up there. His dry and unintentional humor can be great at the best of times. He's like the oldest troll in the universe. XD
Yeap that pretty much just sums it up for me too.

I never, EVER expected to have a prothean in my party. EVER. And to top it off, they somehow found him on Eden Prime? Why didn't they find him sooner? His introduction was a bit...rough, I won't lie. But he has a insight that can only be matched with Kasumi's. He's a cool character, although it must be tough for him to be 50,000 years ahead of his time period. He's a viable asset to the party, and it makes me wonder what he would do if he were to somehow survive after the reaper war is over.

Agreed, though I like Ashley. He's so one dimensional, and that dimension sucks. Also the voice is completely out of place. Oh my god. That's probably the worst part of his character for me. Definitely my least favorite character in the trilogy.

I have a question why didnt Bioware just include him in the normal game and have him sacrifice himself to spacekid instead of Shepard? Cuz I mean pretty much majority of the game he talks like hes going to die balls out guns blazing ultimate brodeath.
Instead he runs away like a coward with the rest of our crew.

I loved that he had no real answers to anything, it would of been worse, in my opinion, if he had an answer to every question asked and gave us a complete insight into the Protheans aside from randomly named species. The fact that he was just a soldier too was great.
Yeah, he did give us a better view on how the Prothean empire was and such, but nothing absolute shocking. There was defiantly no need for the amount of rage about him being DLC and an -essential- plot point.

i really like him.
my favorite characters in the Mass Effect universe would be:
Tali
Garrus
Legion
Liara
Javik
I love how Javik shatters our preconceptions of the Protheans, they weren't all that nice, in fact they were more like the real life version of the Roman Empire. Which is what i liken the Prothean empire as. in the real world we tend to romanticize the Roman Empire, when if you look at the details - like many in things in the real world - it turns out it isn't nearly as rosy as you once thought it was.
Javik's answering how the Protheans ultimately lost - which ultimately is becasue of their lack of diversity in thought and ergo tactics when fighting the reapers - is reflected in his personality.
to Javik there is only black and white, there is very little middle ground at all.
his looking down his nose at the younger races is only a reflection of his culture again.
That's what i loved so much about Javik.
when he says he wants to join his brethern and end his life, as much as one would say that is sad. if you talk to him enough and get to know him enough. it makes a lot of sense and seems only fitting for someone like Javik.
which is astoundingly weird to say, because i'm totally against suicide. I guess the only exception is if they completely wiped out your entire race and you are their last voice....
