The 8 th thread of this kind.

Depends on what we hear on PAX.

CEO gave us a "dead line" 6 April.

Lets wait and see.

Most likely not, but it is the last collectors edition and release day purchase from them. From now on I'm going to wait for fan reviews and for the price to drop... but this all depends on how they handle the ending from here on out. There is the possibility depending on what they do that this will be my last, but I doubt it since even the Dragon Age 2 stink hasn't kept me from enjoying the game.

Probably. It's not just about all the recent furore over misleading statements, day 1 dlc, or the ending either. They're clearly moving away from the type of games that made me fall in love with them in the first place. It's perfectly within their right of course. If they want to leave the tradional RPG genre behind and head towards more action oriented games, best of luck to them. I, however, won't be taking that journey with them.

I wasn't too hyped about any future releases, but probably if they don't release a fix for the ending.

I mean, what else is there? TOR expansions? I don't even play that. Dragon Age 3? So they can continue to ruin the legacy of Origins? Their other games in the ME universe, maybe, but only if they fix the ending, and only if I hear great things about them. Honestly, I think they should fix the ending, release DLC for ME3, and forget about the universe. Let it go down in gaming history, not become tired and old like Halo was starting to get (ODST, Halo Wars?) before Reach salvaged it.

It is, but I had already made that decision well before ME3 came out. The crap ending was just the nail in the coffin.

I wasn't impressed with Dragon Age although it was a decent game. I received DA2 as a gift but it is still in the plastic wrapping, I haven't played it yet because I heard it sucks. I don't care about any Mass Effect spinoff games, only cared about Shepard. I hate EA and the fact that Bioware is now owned by them. And I hate DLC, especially pre-order DLC, which Bioware loves these days.

So far yes. I didn't mind dragon age 2's issues, but the ending of mass effect 3 was just painful. If they fix it, or atleast appoligize for it I will consider buying more, but the quality of bioware games has degraded. The gameplay was perfect, the story decent, the ending crap.

Gotta wait and see with them. You have to admit since EA took over the quality of games has gone downhill. Its funny that something they call an "art" form is concerned solely with the bottom line.

No. Just because Bioware made a mistake with ME3, doesn't ruin the company as a whole.

Premise invalid.  Presumes no other mistakes by company.

Point still remains, however, volume of mistake taken into consideration, not quantity.

Single large mistake enough to damn single organization.

Example: good person commits murder.  Still damned for single mistake.

As things stand now; it is the last EA game I'm buying. BioWare I'm willing to cut some slack; I suspect pressure from EA is the true cause for the poor, disconnected, theme breaking ending.

I vowed to myself never to to buy another after DA2.

But with all the craptastic 'must please the CoD & console kiddies' games that have come out recently I relented for ME3.

There's a lot resting on what happens next for me now.

Besides.. never is a veeeery long time..

The way it stands? Yes. This is the last Bioware game I will buy. Ever since the take over of EA the quality has gone down noticeably. ME2 was a shadow of the promise in ME1. DA:O was a great game, but the in-game DLC adverts were terrible. DA2 speaks for itself. ME3 has a lot of issues that have nothing to do with the ending (I won't go into them here). The ending is just the icing on the cake.

That being said. My opinion can change based upon how they handle the new ending DLC.

No more preorders for Bioware titles definitely. Most likely never buy any Bioware title new either. I'll most likely either borrow or buy their stuff used from now on...too much grief with Bioware.

It's a wait and see for me tbh.

I like the fact that they seem to be listening and am hopeful things will be fixed.

But im still amazed at how this ending even ended up in the game.....I mean seriously who looked at that and thought it was a good idea?

It's so obviously out of place and terrible in such an otherwise awesome game, such a shame to have it end that way.

I'm done. I quit ME3.

I'm contacting Amazon and asking for a full refund. I'm tired of being upset by this. I'm tired of waiting for an out-of-touch company to reply to reasonable fan requests.

Most of all, I'm tired of jerks (fans, gaming press, or Bioware employees) insulting those of us who refuse to bow down in awe at the gloriousness of ME3's perfect ending, which descended from on high to illuminate the sad lives of us poor pathetic gamers, only to be rejected by those of us too stupid to understand it's wonder.

Screw this. There is nothing in the Collector's Edition which I will miss. Not the game, not the comic, not the patch, not the artbook.

And if, someday, they fix the endings and I can stand to play ME3 again, I'll buy the damn thing used.

To be blunt, I'm not an overall BioWare fan but a fan of Mass Effect. So yeah, if they ruin the ME series I'm done, because that's all i cared about from them.

Not at all likely to be the last one I buy, but might very well be the last one I preorder. Certainly the last one I trust the big gaming sites to review.

It really depends on what games they make and if they appeal to me. However no pre-orders (as others have already stated) and I will wait for at least a week or two after release to see if there is any fan outrage before buying. Furthermore If they made another "Trilogy" I'm not sure I would want to buy any of them until the 3'rd game has come out with the fans proclaiming it as the second coming.

no, if they make sensible games after this I'd still buy them.

I just won't trust them to make any epic endings that's all.

This will be the last game I pre-order; and buy the CE of. The next game from Bioware that i am even remotely interested in will be rented/borrowed and if i like it, maybe i'll buy it.

I've been a loyal supporter of bioware from nearly the beginning.  Baldur's gate 1&2; NWN 1 &2; Knights of the Old Republic 1&2; Every ME game; Dragons Age, and i was going to give SWTOR a shot too, but this ME3 debacle has soured me on them. I didn't get DA2 because i wanted to continue my Warden's storyline, and wouldn't be able to. I've thought baout picking it up and giving it a shot, but now that certainly won't happen.

The first slap in the face for me personally for ME3 was when i tried importing my shepard's face. I spent 2 hours the night of release trying to find a way to get a code that would at least be similar, but the "workaround" didn't work for me. I gave up, redid my shepards face as close as i could, and started the game. I made it through the leaving earth and shut it off finally at mars.  I toughed it out, with this shepard that wasn't my shepard and resisted reading about the endings even though i'd heard from friends about the controversy.

I got to the end of the game, and poor, brave Marauder shields did his best to stop me, but he unfortunately failed. fast forward to space god-child. the only thought I had when given my choices was, "where the hell is my option to tell him to go **** himself? I've got the biggest and baddest fleet in the galaxy here, your choices are ****, the crucible was a reaper trick all along"

*that's* the option I want. I want to tell the god child to kiss my arse, and then have the biggest, baddest space battle imaginable. Is that realistic? probably not, but a damn sight better than the present options which basically consist of:
Blue: Become the thing i'm fighting against
Green: Become the thing i'm fighting against, and decide for the whole galaxy they should too.
Red: Destroy the thing i'm fighting against, and oh wait, doom all of the people i brought together to a horrible death, as they starve in orbit around a decimated earth. (the asari, krogan and humans might be ok, but the quarians and turians are ****ed unless for some ungodly reason they brought some liveships with them)

It. Just. Doesn't. Make. Sense.

Anyway, I don't want a graphic comic book ala "genesis" to "explain" to me what I didn't get playing the game. I want and Ending that makes sense. I don't have a clue one way or another whether this guys post is true or not:
social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/9880222
But damn, if that doesn't make better sense than the "Ending" we got.

Peace, and Holding the Line.
