To clarify, I am a feminist, but I just don't understand this one thing...

Femshep's voice actor sounds like someone who just got out of bed after a night of heavy drinking and smoking or something. She sounds tired with a slightly raspy voice 90% of the time. What's odd is that the same thing is present in Halo Reach with the female Noble 6.

Then you hear Mark Meer's voice, and you just get blown away.

But it's kinda silly to question someone's opinion. We like what we like.

Meer wasn't awesome in the first two games, but he did great in ME3.

Yep, I have to admit, I much prefer lady Hale's voice work. I really think she does a brilliant job in Mass Effect.

Mr. Meer has a couple of good, solid lines, but the overall experience is just "meh". I don't hate it, but I don't get as emotionally involved.

This is a good question. Contrary to popular opinion, I do not like Jennifer Hale's voice acting of Shepard, and have not been able to complete a ME1 playthrough with femshep because of this. Her acting is too forced and over dramatic. The awful new default design for femshep doesn't help my opinion much.

Jennifer Hale's Shepard voice acting is excellent. Shepard is a believable, ass-kicking character no matter which gender you choose to play as.

Umm, cause I'm female and like being the "heroine".

I think Jennifer Hale's voice is awesome. But, this is my opinion. You are free to dislike it as well. Everyone has there own preference.

I think her voice acting is more dynamic. especially at the end of Mass effect 3. I have played both all the way through ME1 to ME3

I like Mike Meer but his speech to TIM at the end was kind of flat... I liked Jennifer Hale's better.

Of course I can not say I liked it at first.

Personally, I think Jennifer Hale has great, emotional quality to her acting. Mark Meer's voice sounds like cardboard to me. But I respect that not everyone thinks that.

Again, it's personal preference. I actually also ADORE Meer, he's perfect for MShep's voice, a soldiers voice. Especially in ME3, when Shepard is really beginning to break.
