It has to be space magic, the good kind of space magic :wizard:

Bioware is going to capitalize on this now... because IGN is supporting the Indoc Theory that people here came up with. Calling it now.
Hopefully it pans out.
They're warming us up for the April announcement.
Maybe I'm being waaaay to hopeful.

Could be. Its the easiest way for Bioware to go about making a new ending. If the majority believe it was all a dream then Bioware can just say "yeah...we planned this all along!" thus avoiding some embarrassment.

I think it's funny, they're now gleefully pointing out plot holes themselves (some that we haven't mentioned).

So what happened to the whole thing with Collin saying him and that other ****** couldn't find anyone at IGN that shared ANY of retakes views?

Further evidence that Colin is a raging douchenozzle.

I think its probably more likely that someone at Bioware told them to quit being so nasty and venomous, than any genuine change of heart.
If it was genuine it woulda come A LOT sooner.

there are different people working at ign, different opinions

Except Colin specifically said he couldn't find a single person in the IGN office that thought the ending had any problems.  Obviously he does not speak for everyone, but he also shouldn't have said it.  Neither he nor IGN have retracted it.

To be honest all I ever heard bashing it was Colin. I wasn't sure about what everyone else there thought. I'm hoping that this is genuine and that he was the problem, not the entire site.

Yes, completely taking our side....

They even just said that they're "really mad at how ambiguous the ending is."

This is getting weird....maybe the SPACE MAGIC has finally run out from IGN? :wizard:

Like I said damage control cos they have FINALLY clicked that they have stepped in it. Or more likely someone at Bioware or EA has talked to them about alienating Bioware's fanbase.

Completely dont buy it.

I'll believe it when the front page of IGN has a giant "WE ARE SORRY FOR BEING DOUCHEBAGS OVER THE MASS EFFECT ENDINGS DEBACLE" headline.

Perhaps not entirely, but they do seem to understand that there is something to why we're upset.  It seems that other staffers are more flexible than Colin Moriarty.  Although, as a Podcast Beyond listener, I'd say that's fairly par for the course.  Guys like Greg Miller will at least hear out the other side.

When someone is using the site and name of the site as a platform for their venom, hated, and vitrol it affects them all. If it was just "his opinion" he could have and should have posted himself on his own youtube channel and whatnot.

That isn't what happened. It all happened on the site, and they repeatedly said that NO ONE at IGN agreed with the RetakeMassEffect movement. As recently as 2 days ago.

If it was a genuine change of heart someone would have told Colin Moriarity to shut it before now. Or at least attempted to provide a counter point (like some other gaming sites did) to show that they weren't taking sides.

They are just doing damage control cos they realise now how much trouble they have stepped in.

All of these guys are in agreement that there has to be something more. Also, the guy on the left is the Editor-In-Chief.

Honestly, my hope is re-invigorated, seeing IGN supporting Indoc Theory, and such... maybe it's nota good idea to get my hopes up..but I can't help it.

DIFFERENT EDITORS DIFFERENT OPINIONS, jesus christ

you guys really are horrible sometimes, every complaint about the "retake movement" being childish etc is true, at least to some extend.
even if IGN as a whole would have a different opinion, why cant you just accept it and agree to disagree?

Has Jessica Chobot been up yet? That'd be funny but I assume she has some kind of agreement setup that prevents her from saying much of anything.
