Apparently Colin was supposed to take part in this livecast too. Glad someone decided to reel him in.

Heh, the bearded dude spoke of complex algorythmes to decide how his playthrough in ME3 went based on your choices.

ME3 was written in BASIC?

Are they trying to suck up to the fans without saying sorry? I hate how disgusting these guys are.

Like I said damage control cos they have FINALLY clicked that they have stepped in it. Or more likely someone at Bioware or EA has talked to them about alienating Bioware's fanbase.
Completely dont buy it.
I'll believe it when the front page of IGN has a giant "WE ARE SORRY FOR BEING DOUCHEBAGS OVER THE MASS EFFECT ENDINGS DEBACLE" headline.
DIFFERENT EDITORS DIFFERENT OPINIONS, jesus christ
you guys really are horrible sometimes, every complaint about the "retake movement" being childish etc is true, at least to some extend.
even if IGN as a whole would have a different opinion, why cant you just accept it and agree to disagree?
...
Different posters, different opinions. Jeez!

ugh, you've stated your "point" numerous times. I don't remember IGN having an overall, official, stance on the retake Mass Effect/ending movement, if you can show me a link showing that ALL of ING supports the ending then I'll believe you and apologize but, guess what, people have multiple opinions. It's like with Ace Combat: AH. Gamespot said they loved it, but then someone else gave it like a 6/10 review. Game Informer also does something similar, they have a main review, then have a "second opinion" review
I'm not saying I support nor hate IGN, but you saying "IGN is lying" reminds me of a 9/11 conspiracy theorists, baseless claims that make the rest of us in the retake movement look bad

Second: I think this livestream is showing us the disconnect between gamer and journalist. Almost everytime a journalist has spoken out about this topic, it has been about saving the art and the community just being entitled, etc. But when you get to the gamers behind these sites, they know the involvement, attachment and the issues the actual gamers who invest their time and money into a series like this have.
I think a key thing they keep pointing out is also that they loved the game. Mordin's death, Tali and Rannoch, Grunt, etc. They loved it all. But the ending is such a sour moment not just for the game, but on the whole trilogy, that it takes so much of that away. Hopefully BioWare starts to understand that before they release the "closure" dlc.

Like I and others have repeatedly said.
IGN said more than once that NOT ONE member of their staff agreed with the RetakeMassEffect movement. NOT ONE.
And like I said, if that were true the site shouldnt have been used as a platform for vitriol and slander. Someone should have stepped in LONG before now to at minimum offer an opposing arguement to Colin and his cronies; or better still put a stop to Colin and his cronies venom in the articles and make them present their side in a coherent and civil way.
It isn't that they had a different opinion. It is how they expressed that opinion. And using the site as a platform for that taints them all.
I absolutely do not believe a word they say.
I would believe them if they retracted the more horrible things Colin and his buddies were saying, and did a Mea Culpa apology on the front page. Otherwise it just looks like spin to get themselves out of the hole that Colin dug for them.

Personally, I think the Forbes articles have been putting an uncomfortable spotlight on potential conflict of interests. The past few articles Forbes posted highlighted that the average game review on sites like IGN and Gamespot is about 8/10. AAA titles never get below 9.
I don't like how IGN have treated the dissidents, and I'm glad they are reacting to the heat.

It isn;t baseless. Check out the podcast the two Colins did a few days ago where they both SPECIFICALLY said that NOT ONE person at IGN agreed with the RetakeMassEffect movement.
Go on.
Doubt you will. So you can believe what you like.

Someone should question them why they dont write an offcial IGN review of the ME3 Ending
Excellent point. If they are discussing the problems now, why aren't they in the game review? Did they finish the game before it was written?
While I am glad they are now discussing it, I also don't think they should be let off the hook.
