What armor should I use? I'm not sure what would be best yet... is there a really good armor I should save up for? :/

Also, any advice on weapons would be nice

Serrice council - Power damage +
Rosenkov Materials - Power recharge +

Also - Blood Dragon combines Power damage, speed, and Shield strength.

As far as weapons go, some people prefer just to go with a heavy pistol and a light Assult Rifle. Pretty much take anything you like, as long as you're close to the +200% mark. I personally prefer the Carniflex.

For my adept I used armor pieces which gave bonuses to cooldown so I could just throw biotics around nearly instantaneous.

In regards to weapons... well, you could nearly go through the whole game as an adept and barely need to fire a shot. That being said, something which you can use at long to medium range is useful for an adept. The Mattock seems to be popular or maybe one of the sniper rifles which have a high rate of fire.

Rosenkov, not only for power cooldowns, but also because it looks the best (I always preferred the kestrel armour).
But yeah a Serrice shoulder guard or something thrown in is useful too.

Head - my favourite is the Mnemonic Visor, because it just looks fantastic; really like the style.

Weapons - I've gone for single shotgun, with preference of the Disciple. Using smart choke and high caliber barrel mods for increased damage and accuracy. The scimitar is good too. Wraith is good, but I don't like only two shots per clip. Eviscerator is good but slow. All using the same mods - smart choke and high caliber barrel.

All this. Serrice Shoulder plates and Rosenkov everything else looks boss and gives you an extra bit of power damage and a serious cooldown boost. Mnemonic Visor is hard to pass up for looks alone... that fact that it gives you both power and cooldown boosts is just extra gravy.

Kuwashii visor is useful if you're an Adept that likes to shoot.

Personally I went for Viper (long range), Eagle (short range) and Particle Rifle (for all round wtfpwnage). Worked out as a -16% - with all the extra cooldown from skill ranks and armour, it basically works out as too short for me to care (roughly same cooldowns as an upgraded ME2 adept).

Wish I could fit a shotty into my arsenal... haven't got the disciple yet :D

I used whatever looked good, lol. But yeah, Serrice or Rosenkov is your best bet.

Played on Insanity too, my first run actually.  I felt so powerful, barely had to shoot, till I hit Earth.

Biotic Explosions in ME3 are so insane that armor (and its bonus) does not really matter, so I just wear what looks best to me. So N7 Chestplate, no helmet etc.

Yeah.. I just started my first Adept playthrough, and it's ridiculously easy so far. Near instant cool downs, few protected enemies, combos all over the place. Meh. Who cares about armor bonuses at this point. At least with my Infiltrator they mattered a bit.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned inferno armor yet. 30% damage 30% cooldown

Dragon for durability cooldown and damage
Inferno for straight up punishment

Yeah, very often it's "*boom boom boom*... wait, was that it?"

Note that with individual pieces, you can get any combination of stats adding up to 50% (5 pieces, 10% each). The exception being Armax, which gives you 5% weapon damage and 10% melee damage, and certain head pieces giving 5%/10% headshot/weapon or weapon/headshot damage.

With the special armor sets (Inferno, Dragon, etc.), you get 60% total stats.

So if you are min/maxing, the special armor sets give you more total stats.

You don't have much reason to take more than one weapon with you. I'd go Locust modded for weight, gives you a good mix of short and medium-range punch (your powers handle long-range.) On NG+, get Stasis Bubble, it's a great combo-enabler (better than Singularity in many cases.)
