Hi all,

I recently decided to play through ME1 + ME2 before starting ME3. I've already completed ME1 on NORMAL difficulty doing all side quest also. I ended at level 47.

Now I really want to try Hardcore and then Insane difficulty, but I'm not really interested in doing all the side quests again. I've taken a backup of the toon from the first playthrough, so my question is this:

Do side quests affect anything that is carried into ME2 or is that only decissions made on the main questline? The same basicly goes for ME2 > ME3.

If I recall right, only the main story influences significant plot twists...Side quests mostly generate news feeds, background history or love/hate-mail in the second game - basically make the experience more organic...haven't received my copy of ME3 yet so I can't comment on that.
