You don't need survivability when you have Decoy.

What weapons and style of play though?

2) Let enemies gather around decoy
3) Bomb enemies with ED/Incinerate spam (max Tech Bursts)
4) Profit.
Weaponry: Anything that gives you ~200% CDR while having high DPS (i.e. Carnifex)

Keep in mind however that you need to cast decoy out of sight of the baddies, and then let them aggro on your decoy before you start in with your spammage. If they see you cast it, or if you light em up too early, you're decoy will stand by helplessly, unable to revive your mutilated corpse.

. Doesn't matter as long as you keep your power at 170%+ you can do fine. I usually run around with any weapon tbh that keeps me with a decent recharge. Been playing around with the mantis and viper. Would be using the valiant if I got it.ttchip wrote...

I'd go with:FLGSynyster wrote...

ED 6/6: AoE/Recharge/Damage
Incinerate 6/6: AoE/DoT/Damage vs armor
Decoy 6/6: Duration/Shock/Duration & Shields
Training 5/6: Power damage + weight/Power damage
Fitness 3/6
-Having ED and Incinerate deal AoE damage is more effective because of enemies piling up on your decoy. Both spells are quite ****ty against single targets (even with the respective specs).
-Armor on ED is meh because of you not getting hit 90% of the time.
-Most enemies cannot hit your decoy, making shield strength not a favorable bonus.

My N7 Valiant does. I got lucky.

It does matter. You are actively shooting in between your spells. I can see how the Mantis fits (Cast spell -> Shoot + Reload -> Cast spell). You should, however, consider that the Carnifex has both higher sustained and burst dps than both weapons you mentioned while being lighter than them.kingtrouble wrote...

It's quite heavy (especially without the ability to reliably upgrade the weapon). How much CDR do you have?Daedalus1773 wrote...

Decoy > max fitness.Rasputin17 wrote...
Wouldn't it make sens to max your shields since you have Engery Drain? I am going to do something similar but not max Decoy and put the rest of the points in my shields. Just in case I need to revive or complete an objective or my team all think their rambo.
More than 3/6 in fitness would give you only more hp/shields since you don't really need your passive shield recharge (you have ED, ehh?). Those additional hp/shields won't help you on higher difficulties.

Decoy 6: Durability, Shock, Shields and duration (can go with exploding if you want)
Incinerate 6: Radius, Burning: Armor Damage
SO 5: Damage and Capacity, Power damage
Fitness 3
Use a Carnifex ideally but if you want you can use any weapon that gives you 200% recharge if it suits you better. Avenger X works nicely if you are trying to apply ammo powers to cause fire or cryo explosions.

decoy: shields/shock/shields&duration
drain: damage/recharge/armor
operative: power damage&weight/power damage/weight
fitness: health&shields/recharge/health&shields
remember to drain shields for the armor bonus before you run out there. just lay down decoys and drain shields all day, and use whatever weapon that keeps your cooldown bonus high. snipers on big levels like dagger, assault rifles on moderate levels like white, shotguns on small levels like glacier

Energy Drain: Radius/Drain/Damage
Decoy: Durability/Shock/Shields&Duration
Salarian Operative: Damage&Capacity/Power Damage/Weapon Damage
Fitness: Durability/Shield Recharge/Fitness Expert
I usually tote a Carnifex, but recently I've brought my Katana X instead for the +10% recharge (170% in all) and have been doing great on Silver/Gold.
If I ever respec, I might opt for the Sniper Rifle Weight Reduction instead of Weapon Damage on Salarian Operative (6) and try my hand with the Mantis X.

Leaning out of cover spamming a pistol can be difficult in Gold at times. And you could get +190% with a Mantis X.

So what exactly is THE build? So many different opinions.
ED is a given, radius and drain are probably sure picks, but what about rank 6?
Why are people skipping incinerate, don't you need it for tech bursts? And how should it be specced?
Should decoy be maxed, can't it take enough damage anyway?
How much points are left for fitness? And how much fitness do you need with the decoy?
How about salarian operative?
