Believe me, I know there are bigger problems like the plot holes, inconsistences and failed promises made by the devs. I think that is the more important issue here and needs to be addressed and fixed. But I need to let the fan in me cry out for a second. Why the hell not a happy ending? It's a space adventure game, they're not making Blade Runner for crying out loud. I didn't invest well over a hundred hours of game time in my main playthrough, just so I could die and all my friends get stranded on a planet. I wanted my cake :(

If it was a linear game then that'd be a different story, but for a game that's suppose to have multiple outcomes with the ending, I see no reason why a happy ending couldn't have been in the game. I wanted to hold this in until we got word from Bioware on what they're doing with the ending, and since it they're only gonna clarify the endings and add a bit more closure, it seems i'm never gonna get my cake. I wanted to enjoy a nice brewski with my pal Garrus at the end.

This sucks.

I wanted a happy ending to my Sheps story, but I also wanted an ending where everyone died and Harby did a dance on Sheps body.

I don't mind it being "unhappy" I love the idea of sacrifice. But it just seems like his sacrifice made things worse in every scenario.

im totally with you on that... i want it to at least be an option... the absolute perfect ending if you do absolutley everything... millions of people dead is sad enough really without rubbing mass relay fragments in the wound.

You're not alone. I really wanted a happy ending, even if it meant it was clichéd.

Happy endings are good things.

People enjoy them,
that's why you see them all the time.

Agreed. I really hope they do more than just add on to the existing.

I want my cake too!

A lot of us did. Sometimes we just can't have what we want, if the ending of Mass Effect 3 is any indication.

Of course I do, I do not need more depression in my life. I want to end up with Tali one her home planet and alive if possible (yeah, they will die one day, but I do not need to know that). And blue little children for other folks, you name it what you want, they told you they are listening, so make yourself sound!

We'll see what BioWare does. There is plenty of support for it. We'll see if they do listen.

I have always been honest about this. Of course I would like at least the option for a remotely happier ending. Shepard has been with me for a long time, he's sacrificed a lot, why must he be made into Space Jesus?

I'm not demanding it though AND he obviously can survive so...

Teleporting squad-mates and escaping Jokers bother me more than his death (but :crying:).

I'm right with you. I also wanted one of the ending choices to be happy. You know--final shot of LI and Shepard with a wide vista of space in the background, maybe clearing some debris. Hope and renewal after a lot of pain and destruction. I wanted one ending where the hero is victorious and there are signs that society is rebuilding.

I'm still hoping. I will continue to hope until the very last and final hour. :)

My sentiments exactly. Shepard and his friends deserved a better fate. Without a happy ending I'm much less inclined to get invest my time in Bioware games in the future.

And I can't be bothered with a DLC that just explain stuff and doesn't change anything. Well if Bioware doesn't want our business...

I was going to dive into SWTOR now that ME3 is over. Now I don't know really..

It didn't even have to be totally happy. If there was a happy ending option, I'd have been satisfied if my FemShep, her LI and the crew could have come out okay.

All I keep thinking now is that the endings we got mean the relays blew up everything in the systems they were in and all the good I worked for throughout the past two games is gone. (<-PS3 owner who only had 2 and 3.)

i would love a happy ending, but that isn't the only problem. the ends are filled with plot holes and canon errors. if a satisfying epilog where created. i would be fine with that too

I'd like to see a happy ending, a sad ending and what fills the range in between. You know... based on our actions, successes and failures. I've no issue with having to put effort into getting a good ending and for failing to do so getting a bad ending.

It's getting a nonsensical, derp ending no matter what I do that I've got a problem with.

Precisely. We deserve at least the option to choose/earn a happy ending.

Yeah, I think we've earned at least the option. I've saved everyone and everything that could be saved through three games; a shot at a "happy" ending for Shepard and the crew would've been nice.
