Some call it boring, but the simplicity of the class is a thing of beauty. Ammo for any situation, Adrenaline Rush is amazing, etc.

And for those who thing the class lacks CC, slap Amplification on Concusive Shot and depending on Ammo, it can Incinerate, Freeze, Shock, or even Detonate Biotic Explosions (Warp Ammo, but only to airborne targets by Pull, Singularity, etc.).
I have never enjoyed the entire series as much with other classes as when doing it as a Soldier.

I have also loved the soldier, playing with the other classes just made me feel like a magic superman gypsy.

I love how everything just feels faster when you're a soldier. I've always loved Tech classes, so Engineer is by far my favorite, but the feeling of speed you get from a soldier is just lovely. Incindiary Ammo + large mag assult rifle + Adren-rush is by far one of the most efficient ways to go.

The downside is, it does seem fairly cut and dried. I like the variety that playing an Adept or Engy gives.

I like the soldier in singleplayer because I don't have to worry about my powers and I have the ability to use all of those awesome weapons. I was sadly limited to my weapon selection when I was playing as a sentinel in my first playthrough. Now I'm doing my second run and I am enjoying the vast variety of different weapons.

Besides, I have my hotbar decked out with squadmate powers so I'm still using powers actively.

Soldier feels reliable. But Vanguard and Infiltrator feel fun.

Yep Soldier class is the best IMO, cause the only 2 number keys u need to spam are Adrenaline rush and free bonus power (carnage in my case). Rest of it is just aim and shoot :)

The other classes have me facerolling the number keys more than my Lbutton and i dislike that.

HAHA! I saw a survey on which class was the most played, and it said the majority (65% i think) was playing a soldier. The rest were split equally among the other classes. Youre definetly not alone. Soldiers are awesome, no matter what other people think.

I have more playthroughs with the soldier class than I do any other. It was my first class since I was new to the game (didn't play any ME games until 2010) and didn't know about powers and all of that stuff at first.

Soldier: 5 and a half (2 ME1, 2 ME1, 1 and a half ME3)
Infiltrator: 2 (1 ME1, 1 ME2)
Sentinel: 1 (ME2)
Vanguard: 1 (ME2)
Adept: 0 (Gonna be my next full playthrough, later this year)
Engineer: 0 (Maybe some time next year)

Nope, I've played a Soldier since ME1. I love just being able to wade into combat and leave my allies to run support.

In ME3, my soldier carries every weapon available. Powers are for weaklings.

Nope, you are not alone. I love soldier in ME3. Actually it is the most powerful class in SP going by math. I started playing soldier back in ME2 when biotics started to suck, there are quite some good improvements to soldier since ME2 and biotics suck even more than they did in ME2. So yeah, soldier is my favorite class. Not talking about MP though, since SP soldier has 3x more damage output than the MP counterpart. The most powerful class in MP is the Salarian infiltrator, but the most powerful class in SP is definitely the soldier.

One thing I don't agree with you though OP, concussive shot - it is the worst power soldier has, I never invest in that power. Specially don't need to delay my Adrenaline rush for a couple of seconds to cast a useless power.

By the early level 50s, you have so many points, that you will end up putting points in it.
Concusive Shot doesn't delay your Cooldown unless you spec Adrenaline Rush for extra Shield. Conclusive Shot isn't for Damage, it's for Crowd Control.

By level 50 put points into incediary/disruptor/armor piercing ammo, frag grenade, passive and fitness, the only powers I skipped were cryo ammo and concussive shot, Imo adrenaline rush and frag grenade give enough CC, not sure I found myself in a situation where CC was drastically needed though, everyone go down in seconds under andrenaline rush. And of course I spec for extra shields, that is a lot more useful.

You got the class confused with Nova Vanguards.

Dude, by Level 50 I have all of those maxed. By the end you max everything but one power and have points to spare. Thus you must take Concusive Shot at some point. I'd rather Max it than Frag Grenade any day.

Ok, then I will max out everything except concussive shot. :P

I still believe that it is the most useless power soldier has. My weapon does a lot more damage than that power. It does nothing against enemies with protections, it delays my adrenaline rush usage which is WAY better. Frag grenade on the other hand has a LOT bigger radius, does a LOT more damage and doesn't trigger a cooldown, and can be used during adrenaline rush with no problem.

Your thread's pretty informative too.

Sure, soldier's great for people who have difficulty keeping track of multiple abilities.

You're alone. You should probably just turn your self into the police. You'd have friends in Soldier prison.
