Given all the rightful hate towards the endings, there are some things I haven't seen brought up at all.  One of them being sound.

Personally I found the sound in game - particular the guns and combat - to be by far the best in the series.  Im not sure why but it really stood out to me through the entire experience.

Wondering if anyone else really noticed it when they were playing.

I particularly noticed Reaper noises. Every Reaper noise made my spine tingle a little bit, be it their laser, them landing, or "growling".

The guns did seem to sound alot more..."clear" than ME1 and 2, glad it wasn't just me that saw (heard?) that!

The sound was absolutely amazing. Music, SFX, ambient stuff... it was all amazing.

I liked the sound and music a lot. Some odd choices, like that weird music that played on the Presidium commons...but in general I liked it a lot.

Edit: originally had 'promenade' instead of 'Presidium'.  Hadn't remembered it from ME1, but the music made me think of a promenade, for some reason.  :P

The Presidium Commons? That was a remix of the Presidium Commons theme from ME1!

I guess nostalgia plays a big deal in some of the themes in this game.

SFX were great, don't know what input DICE had but combat sounded fantastic.

Music-wise, I felt while the new material was on the whole excellent (especially Clint Mansell's piano pieces) there was too much recycling of some of the older music, particularly in combat. Whilst in some scenarios it was positive in that in produced nostalgia (like on the Eden Prime mission), in other cases it felt a bit lazy. On the whole though, I liked the scoring.

The sound was great, especially some of the music tracks. The opening track is beautiful.

Oh, yes! I was actually thinking that at multiple points throughout the game.

The guns sound so amazing. Which is saying something, because the sounds for the guns in ME1 and 2 weren't bad at all, but ME3 was so much better.

The Reaper noises were awesome. That big foghorn noise and the laser sound effects are probably my favorite artificial noises of anything ever. And that's actually not an exaggeration. XD

And of course the music. I haven't been listening to anything but the ME3 soundtrack for the past two weeks.

Which reminds me: I don't think the menu music is on the soundtrack at all. This depresses me. :(

I keep repeating the tracks over and over again, do you do that? :D

The sound was spot on, especially the music. Although I must admit I hated the Reaper growl whenever they were alerted to your presence by maxing out your scan meter. It annoyed me endlessly.

Haha, YES! Especially "Leaving Earth" and "An End Once and for All," because I'm in love with the piano.

I liked the sound design. It's one of those things that can really help a game immensely, such as how Dead Space let's you dread what's coming because you hear it long before you see it. I liked that the sound the Reapers make was mixed in with some of the music, too. And that banshee shriek was great because I always dreaded what it meant. Like they said in the codex, it's a psychological attack.

Sound, voice acting and music are all absolutely stellar in this game. The Reaper's mist horn is strangely intimidating even though it'd come across as cheesy if you described it to someone.

The audio was great across the board. Game-play, combat, graphics, squad interaction, all fantastic in my book. Hell, most of the story was good. The last scene just killed the whole experience for me, though. It was like running up the Philly art museum stair doing your greatest Rocky impression, only to take a wrecking ball to the groin when you're one step short. Now, I can barely tolerate commercials for the game on on TV, let alone go download my copy of the soundtrack.

I loved the Score for the game and the sound effects too, the guns sounded mean!

Since completing mass effect I've had 'The Fleets Artive' stuck in my head constantly.

Most of the Sound is top-notch. The most notable exception being the non-interactive cutscenes. The sound effects sound like a toy gunbattle, which is strange, since all of the other weapons in the game sound light-years (pun intended) ahead of even Mass Effect 2.

As for the Soundtrack, I have Mixed-positive feelings on it. A lot of the soundtrack is recycled from Mass Effect 2 (I mean that in the best possible way), while new tracks are kind of few and far between. The music playing when you're fleeing Earth sets a standard that really can't be matched for the rest of the game though.

Overall though, I liked Mass Effect 2's soundtrack better.
