And BioWare obviously can do better, it's evident even in the game as-is. Plenty of talented and passionate people who also love this series. I am willing to wait and see what they come up with. That assumes they're given enough resources and that hurt egos don't get in the way. I'm hopeful that they know they can't half-arse this and expect praise...

Exactly. I think it's going to be the end to the fanbase. One of the biggest I've ever seen. Didn't Bethesda recieve a similar backlash, but once they changed the ending of Fallout 3, the backlash subsided?

tbh, an epilogue would be just fine. It would confirm, for one, that the mass relays didn't blow everyone up, and that everyone didn't starve on Earth, and that, in the destroy ending, Shepard somehow survived the Citadel exploding and reentry (indoctrination theory isn't an option since that'd mean making the non 5000+ EMS destroy endings non-standard game-overs).

I'd be fine with this, but I'm not sure that's what they'll be doing. They can't contain the backlash forever. When the dam burts everyone is going to suffer and it isn't going to be pretty.

i was expecting a epic final boss fight, the final fight in mass effect 1 feelt epic as hell, the final fight in mass effect 2 was beyond epic every thing about the final mission in part 2 was just mind blowing to me lol i hope they give us an amazing final boss to fight cause marauder shields is not even close to being good let alone epic

I hope there's another backlash, what people want is a new fuking ending that actually has something to do with you actions over the last three games! If they honestly keep this poorly written, lore violating, complete and total lie of an ending then I'm done with Bioware and EA, from now on Bethesda, Obsidian, Square, Namco, and Capcom can have my money.

Sorry but if you do not like the solution they provide you with come April your out of luck. The tolerance for the aggression and hostility complaining will be lower I am sure and many of you will end up banned for periods of time and many threads locks. They will try to bring about closure with more exposition and probably within a framework of a larger content but they will not spend time and money attempting a second fix on the same issue if you are still not happy. So personally I expect more whining and complaining for short burst then some people leaving for while in a huff and few permanently but the forums will go back to being a more reasonable, respectful and quieter place overall after that. They will not spend money and time trying to fix a single issue twice, many of you will have to learn to compromise or fade away and come back either in the future or for a few not at all.

Your so called ****storm as it were will be very short lived as many who try that route will be suspended or banned from the forums. Bioware have been very tolerant on this issue, but if you try taking it too far don't be surprised by the results of your actions. You are not immune for extreme hostility or aggression just because you call yourselves fans and hide behind that.

Unless we get an announcement of an ending DLC at PAX. There will be a massive ****storm. It'll be worse if they announce a Mappack, or make the "clarification" cost some dosh.

BioWare will lose a lot of customers in April. And then, like Westwood, will this company end following the rEAper process. It will be slow and painful, but BioWare will fall. Anyone having seen TOR will know this.

The tolerance may be lower on the BSN but the damage is just restricted to here.There are other websites designated for the sole purpose of changing the ending.Just because you can't see something doesn't mean it's not there. People need to understand that the economic ramifications are already abundantly clear. Making people angrier won't change that. Someone has to cave eventually. I'll put my money on the people who want to make money and in the long run that's EA. Does anyone honestly believe fifty thousand people are just going to go away. Don't be foolish. It's going to get worse. Much worse.

A Fox News understanding of art doesn't either. Money talks and always will. If the potential is there and the demand is great enough. Paying boo koo bucks for something diminishes artistic relevance as art is meant to be digested by the people. People need to understand that while Mass Effect is art, it is not the same kind as Edvard Munch's The Scream.
