There are oh so many threads that talk about this, but I spent some time reflecting on why I am upset over the ending. I think I got it down to one sentence.
This Can't Be It
After all that happened, this does not leave "...and that's how it ended" feeling. It's left feeling incomplete, like the tape skipped or a video got cut.
I appreciate the ending enough but...
This Can't Be It.
I really hope that the future can address that feeling. I trust Bioware, but I still harbour doubt.

It didn't conclude anything at all in my opinion.
Went for food after finishing the game, hungover as I was, I cared little for what the ending brought but the uneasy feeling that it just wasn't finished lingered upon my mind as a soft touch.
Then I upon a weary night came across these boards, where the disgust and dismay was not as thinly veiled as I thought it would be.
Yeah. If anything, this wasn't the end of Shepard's story in any case considering the fact that he BREATHES IN THE "OPTIMAL" ENDING!
