This new journal is a step backwards in functionality.

A step backwards would be ME 1, this is even worse than that, so at least 2 steps back.

I too would like to see the journal system fixed. ME:2 was GREAT. It told you exactly where to go and even showed it on the map.

not everyone want's to play Multiplayer. It supposed to be an "OPTION" not a requirement.
The new Journal system is awful and only hurt's the game.........especially for those who haven't even played the series before.

If nothing else, can you please fix your journal/mission log? It's like 3 steps back.

Mass Effect 1 had a more intuitive and accurate system for tracking mission progress and information. This would be a simple patch job compared to the other complaints, so please release it in some future update.

Agreed

Agreed. Considering the sheer number of tasks requiring you to locate a specific item, not having more location info was frustrating.

I never had to go online for a single thing in ME 1 or 2, but I found myself having to do it simply because the 'mission tracker' tracked about as much as a fortune cookie.

No point in fixing the journal system. The game is dead, done, over. Why beat a dead horse?

They do not need to waste any more of their precious time doing anything with ME3.  No DLC, no bug fixes...it would be like IBM deciding to release a bug fix for OS/2 today.  OS/2 is dead.  Over.

Bioware killed the game and series.  They can all go home now and rest their empty, empty, echo-filled heads.

I find the inconsistency of the journal/map/galaxy map extremely frustrating. The journal doesn't update when you get a quest item. The galaxy map shows reapers on galaxies that have nothing in them, and some galaxies that DON'T have reapers do have quest items. Most times the Citadel map marks quest POIs, but not always, and it's confusing.

I'm playing ME1 again now, and the journal is SO good. Between this, and other small things like no film grain or weapon holstering, or automatic dialogue, it seriously chips the armor of an otherwise perfect game.

I agree with this. It is rather annoying to go through the maps to find a particular quest/conversation. I prefer having the location on the journal's list

I have to agree here. The quest journal in ME3 is confusing as all hell. I have no way aside from running around of knowing if I completed the quest objective.

To be honest, just look at ME2, more than 2 years ago:
Conrad Verner - still bugged
Login on PC - Still bugged
Shep getting stuck on walls/ceilings - still bugged

I think, with the current s***storm, the odds that smaller issues/bugs will be addressed is pretty slim

man...ME:2 (PC) had so much bugs/glitches in it. Not sure about the 360 or PS3 but for the PC, it was so frustrating.

They could patch it. Seriously the journal system for ME3 was a huge step backwards compared to the journal system from ME1 and ME2.

Yeah, this isn't like...a total over haul, just some drop downs, and extra text that updates with progress.

They've done it in how many other games? How many other -series-?

Seriously? People **** about quest logs being too specific and handholding them right to where the quest objective is...

BioWare says "Okay, let's do it this way" and now... people **** about the quest logs being too vague and not handholding them enough...

It's Schroedinger's Quest Journal.

It was done on purpose to create an illusion of ME3 being a long game. You would spend lots of time searching for npcs in every corner of the Citadel.

...people have ****ed about the quest journal?

Where? When? Who? What?

Honestly, I like it. Too many times have I gone back into old RPGs that I put down only having to restart because I have no idea where the hell I am and what I was doing.

I don't understand how they messed up the journal compared to ME1-2 o-o I just don't see it. ME2's journal was so good. It told you where to go, what planet, what system, what cluster. No guesswork.

Fix this pls after you figure out what to do with the ending fiasco.
